From Cooktown to Caboolture, Longreach to Logan, our Queensland Coordination and Planning Officers (CPO) team have been busy working with jurisdictional stakeholders to prepare for the Higher Risk Weather Season. Wearing many hats, the Queensland CPO team operate across the state, supporting disaster operations, helping with preparedness exercises, and monitoring recovery efforts. Last season, 77 Local Government Areas in Queensland were impacted by severe weather. Throughout these events, our team spent considerable time working out of the Queensland State Disaster Coordination Centre.
