Indeed the future seems promising with today's innovative engineering potential. We hold the best available data and knowledge humanity ever had! What else? No more missing opportunities. No more limitations raised; of human values, of priorities, lack of will or short-term goals! Engineers are trained with an expanded ethos—one that integrates technical prowess with a deep sense of environmental and social stewardship. And it is their expanded ethos that ensures their engineering capacity is translated into genuine, sustainable progress. "What if we grow to experience this in all disciplines for a better future for all?".... When you think of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), you might picture engineers building bridges or scientists in labs. But some of the most critical STEM work happens behind the scenes — like with our Customer & Power System Logistics Dispatchers. Ahead of #NationalSTEMDay, we’re shining a light on these unsung heroes who help keep our city safe and connected. When a storm hits or a powerline goes down, they’re the first point of contact, coordinating real-time responses between field crews, emergency services and the public. This isn’t just answering phones — it’s STEM in action. Dispatchers use sophisticated tools like Oracle Field Service and integrated outage management platforms to track crews, map outages, estimate restoration times and streamline work orders — all in real time. For students exploring STEM careers, our team encourages looking into the utility sector. It’s a space where innovation, purpose and growth go hand in hand, and your work can make a real impact every day. Swipe through to learn from the team about what their role means to them. #STEM #Technology #TroubleDispatch

Today, I want to talk about something beyond routine updates and achievements. As a founder at Ccentric (Training & Placement Programs), my core belief has always been simple — students should not just be educated, they should be prepared for the future. While everyone is talking about AI and software careers — and yes, they are important — I keep asking myself: What about the industries that will power our future? Who is preparing students for EV (Electric Vehicles) and Hydrogen Fuel Cell technologies? These sectors are not “alternative” anymore — they are the backbone of the world's shift towards clean mobility and sustainable energy. Yet, very few students know how big the opportunity really is. And very few institutions are ready to guide them in that direction. We faced challenges — convincing students, parents, and even institutes. Because the trend is to follow what is popular, not what is impactful. But here's what I believe: EV and Hydrogen are not just courses — they are careers in the making. Engineers who understand these technologies today will lead tomorrow's industries. We don't need more degree-holders; we need future-builders. This isn't a promotional post. It's just a thought from someone who works closely with students every day and worries about where their talent is heading. If you're an educator, industry expert, or institution — let's make students aware of these thriving fields. Because the future won't just be coded. It will also be engineered, powered, and sustained. #FutureOfSkills #EVRevolution #HydrogenEconomy #CcentricLearning #EducationReform #StudentCareer #SustainableFuture #IndustryReady

For years, I've voiced concerns that the Consulting Engineering business model is overdue for a reset. Shrinking college-age populations, accelerated retirements, and waning interest in cultures that equate long hours with commitment have created a talent squeeze that puts our industry at a disadvantage. But with every challenge comes opportunity. It's time we rethink the long-standing equations of "more hours= more success". Our industry has the chance to reshape how we define value, sustainability and career fulfillment in consulting. Next Wednesday, I'm looking forward to the ACEC Research Institute's online roundtable on the Firm of the Future Workforce Study. The findings promise to shed light on how we can evolve our models to better attract, retain, and empower the next generation of engineering talent. https://lnkd.in/gMHm9tYg

Hi LI Fam, Building the Future Together: Where Innovation Meets Education Across the U.S., we’re witnessing something powerful—the future of work is being built where innovation and education intersect. A shining example is Hudson Valley Community College’s new Applied Technology Education Center (ATEC)—a $64 million, 125,000-square-foot hub for workforce transformation, opening in 2027. Backed by $40 million in state support and powered by partnerships with industry leaders like GlobalFoundries, ATEC will equip students and workers for careers in semiconductor manufacturing, renewable energy, building automation, and advanced transportation technologies. But this isn’t just a building—it’s a blueprint for what happens when vision meets collaboration. When higher education, government, and private industry come together, we don’t just close skill gaps—we open doors to opportunity, dignity, and long-term prosperity. At NavAIgate Careers, we believe in this same principle: The best partnerships don’t just train people for jobs—they prepare them for purpose. When we invest in people, we don’t just build a workforce. We build the future. #WorkforceDevelopment #CareerReadiness #CommunityColleges #FutureOfWork #AIinEducation
