Sunday 16 November 2025 marks the 16th anniversary of the Australian Government’s National Apology to Forgotten Australians and Former Child Migrants. Relationships Australia - Northern Territory acknowledges the pain and loss of childhood experienced by Forgotten Australians and Former Child Migrants who were impacted by horrific conditions in institutional settings and we recognise the lifelong impacts of childhood trauma. Brolga Place, within Relationships Australia - NT, provides free counselling, records searching and support for adults in the Northern Territory who grew up in out-of-home care in Australia prior to 1990.
