When I first joined Murphy Austin, they encourage all of their lawyers to get involved in parts of the community, and I had been interested in St. John's and found out that Murphy Austin had a long history of providing pro bono legal services to St. John's. And so it was frankly too good to be true that I joined this firm that had this history and an organization that I was interested in becoming a part of as well. I'm really excited that this is the 40th anniversary of St. John's and I feel honored to be a part of the board at this significant point in time in the organization's. I love the energy that's coming right now within the organization. I think Scott Richards is providing some great leadership and and helping us at this time. Children shouldn't go without a home, and women who are trying to make a change, a courageous decision in their life to get over whether it's trauma or whatever it is, deserve to have the help and support that's necessary. If you're an individual, you're part of an organization, you're a community leader, St. John's is a place where you can go and invest your time and money and know that you were involved in bringing about real change.
