This year’s awards showcased the remarkable momentum and creativity within the private sector to address climate risks and unlock new opportunities for communities and economies. Congratulations to every company that was shortlisted—your leadership is shaping a more resilient future. 140 submissions from 45 countries and 30+ sectors showcased the global drive for practical, inclusive climate solutions. 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱-𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗱:  • AI-powered flood forecasting (Google): Delivering free, early warnings worldwide.  • Modular flood barriers (SLAMDAM, NL): Transforming flood defense into productive water reuse.  • Methane reduction in agriculture (CP Group, Thailand): Lowering emissions and enhancing soil health.  • Circular economy for waste pickers (Solos, Brazil): Empowering informal workers and reducing pollution.  • Climate-smart finance for farmers (Vermi-farm, Kenya): Digital tools and insurance for resilient livelihoods.  • Low-carbon construction (Build Up Nepal): Eco-bricks for affordable, climate-adaptive housing. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱:  • The most effective solutions are systemic—combining technology, finance, policy, and community empowerment.  • Many initiatives intentionally target women, youth, and marginalized groups, ensuring equity and sustainability.  • Persistent challenges remain: adoption barriers, financing, and policy hurdles—and need more coordination and partnerships between business, governments, finance sector and local organizations. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁? The insights and lessons from these awards are now fueling a pipeline of resilience actions for the Business Action Bank and The Climate Drive Action Library (links in comment).
