We are excited to announce the FDA clearance of the Alere NT-proBNP for Alinity i assay. This is a significant milestone rounding out Abbott’s cardiac portfolio delivering more choices for heart failure testing.   In the emergency department, measurements of NT-proBNP are used as an aid in the diagnosis of heart failure (HF) in patients with clinical suspicion of new onset or worsening HF.   The Alere NT-proBNP for Alinity i assay enables efficient workflows with its 30-day-on -instrument reagent stability and once per lot calibration requirements.
