🚀 The new web browser Atlas from OpenAI and ChatGPT just dropped! Here's why its a major shift. This just came out a few hours ago, and I had to test it. In the clip below, I asked the new ChatGPT Agent to fix the text and title of my class presentation and it did it by itself. Here are my 3 quick takeaways so far: 1. Search is transitioning into execution instead of finding information we’re watching AI act on it. 2. Prompts are evolving into workflows what used to be one-off requests are now ongoing tasks managed by agents. 3. Apps are turning into collaborators the tools we use aren’t waiting for input anymore they’re anticipating it. #chatgpt #openai #AI #chatgptatlas #agentmode

Education is often framed as a step behind tech - but many institutions are proving that wrong. At OpenAI, we see IT teams, researchers, and professors who are technically sophisticated, ambitious, and intent on shaping the future. Here’s what we’re hearing as the most useful education-focused use cases from last week’s DevDay announcements: 📱 Apps in ChatGPT — Institutions can now use (and soon build) apps directly inside ChatGPT. Coursera is one of the first, making it easier for students to access learning content alongside their courses. 🤖 AgentKit & Agent Builder - Build secure, tailored agents that integrate with existing university systems like library catalogues, VLEs, or admissions portals. 💻 Codex for Teams - New SDK and Slack integrations helps IT teams and student developers build and deploy code more easily, with stronger enterprise controls. 🧠 GPT-5 Pro in API - Ideal for summarising research, creating structured outputs from complex documents, or powering academic writing tools. 🎥 Sora 2 in API - Generate realistic, high-quality educational videos with sound: virtual lab demos, field trips, explainers. 🪄 Mini models - Lower-cost voice and image generation make it easier to scale experiments across departments or student cohorts. One more step towards making it easier for the Education sector to build and deploy AI safely and at scale. Recordings here: openai.com/devday ChatGPT for Education Shaig Abduragimov Anna Jenkins

🌟 Today we’re launching Apps in ChatGPT, with Coursera as a first learning partner🌟 For the edu ecosystem, this is a milestone moment. Over the past year I’ve met so many founders, educators, and startups building powerful AI learning tools - but struggling with distribution. Learning is a top use case in ChatGPT. Now we can bring these new experiences to the +800M people using ChatGPT every week. I’m especially excited about the Coursera app. Some of the best learning happens when human expertise and AI work together. Now you can ask, “Coursera, teach me data analytics?” and instantly see a relevant video from a world class teacher, course info, and a link to dive deeper. Learners can interrogate the video & ask questions - right from within Chat. This is an important step toward our broader goal: making ChatGPT a tool that helps learners everywhere unlock their potential. Huge thanks to Greg Hart, Tim Hannan, and the team for bringing this vision to life (and hustling like crazy!!) More edu partners to come soon.... Early partners also include Booking.com, Canva, Figma, Expedia Group, Spotify, and Zillow. Link to the new Apps SDK below. 🙌 cc: Devangi Vivrekar, Kevin Fives, Nick Turley, Bryant Jow, Mustafa Furniturewala, Arunav Sinha, Nathaniel Whittemore, ChatGPT for Education

Today we’re rolling out Parental Controls in ChatGPT. Parents can link their account with their teen’s, set the controls that make sense for their family, and access a new resource hub with tips for getting started. It’s a way to make ChatGPT more useful for families while respecting that parents know best how their teens should use AI. I’m especially proud of this launch because it combines two things we care deeply about: helping teens learn, explore, and create with ChatGPT — and giving families tools to guide that experience. This is just the first step. We’ll keep adding more options and resources so families everywhere can feel confident about how ChatGPT fits into their home. Available globally starting today. Would love to hear what you think. https://lnkd.in/g39j-Dvq

✨ Yesterday OpenAI rolled out ChatGPT Pulse - and it’s one of the more exciting releases from a learning perspective.✨ With Pulse, you see a glimpse of a future ChatGPT that understands your goals & dreams - and can proactively drive you towards them. Instead of waiting for your questions, Pulse researches and delivers useful, personalized updates each day. Updates arrive as simple, scannable cards. While you sleep, the model can spend real time thinking about how to help you reach your goals - without relying on you to craft PHD-level prompts. To me, this is a major step forward toward the dream of AI enabling proactive, personalized learning….
