Spotlight on Morehouse Metaversity
The results from professors at Morehouse Metaversity have been impressive.
Professors Ovell Hamilton, Muhsinah Morris and Ethell Vereen launched their classes along with a cross-disciplinary engagement with Professor Tanya Clark.
Some engagement metrics from a 2022 study:
- Student achievement in Morehouse’s VR classes was 94%, compared to face-to-face and online classes at 84%.
- For a World History II class, student attendance in the VR class was 90%, compared to 80% in the face-to-face class and 88% in the online class.
- On average, the student achievement final grade was 85% in VR, compared to 78% in face-to-face and 81% online.
What is a Digital Twin Metaversity Campus?
Digital Twin Metaversities are custom-built digital replications of physical institutions, such as campuses, colleges, and universities. Our visionary team of 3D modelers, developers, and designers can also pioneer VR spaces that exist exclusively in the metaverse and haven’t been or can’t be built in the real world.

AI Tutored Students Learned More In Less Time
The study enrolled 194 undergraduate Harvard physics students split into two groups and was conducted over a two week period. Each participant experienced a different teaching method each week. In week one, the first group had the AI tutor lesson from their dorm, while the second group attended a typical instructor-led lecture on campus. The following week, the content and conditions were flipped. The findings showed that the AI tutored students learned more than twice as much as when they engaged with the same content during the lecture.”
