Last Thursday we hosted a Community Forum at the Village Well, 🤝 all about making the Hills more accessible and welcoming for people with disability. We heard what makes places feel inclusive, when people feel most connected, and what local groups are doing across the region. 💬 Attendees also learnt about our latest projects and chatted with staff and Elected Members. Tonight, we light the Stirling Coventry Library in orange. 🧡 Marking the start of the UN’s '16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence' (25 November – 10 December). Visit the library to see the display of ‘orange ladies’, created by members of the Zonta Club of Adelaide Hills to honour women who have experienced violence. Last week, we welcomed enthusiastic Year 2 students from Bridgewater Primary School to Cox Creek in Bridgewater for a special Council excursion! 🌿 The students explored the creek, learned about native wildlife, and discovered how healthy waterways support our environment. 🐛🪱 They even got hands-on with macroinvertebrate sampling and planted native rushes and sedges to help revegetate the creek banks. 🌱 Their teamwork and care for nature were truly inspiring!
