All smiles from our clinicians, even when there's a flat tyre involved! 🚙🛞 Our multi-disciplinary team of clinicians regularly travel to remote communities across the NT (via 4WD or light aircraft) to provide life-changing therapy services. Check out these great photos from a recent trip to Papunya with Carly (Senior Occupational Therapist), Fiona (Speech Pathologist), and Jaimee (Director of Allied Health). 📸 Are you passionate about improving health outcomes in remote areas? It was great to show some year 12 Henbury School students and their families through our Pathways Program recently. Our Pathways Program offers a wide range of skill development activities that encourage participants to set and achieve individual goals, develop meaningful relationships, and gain new experiences. Students and their families were able to meet some of our team members, tour the space, and even try out some textiles projects and stop motion animation! This was a great opportunity for young people who are preparing to transition out of school in the new year to start planning their goals for the future. Our Pathways team are always happy to show people through the program. Whether you're a soon-to-be-school-leaver, or a participant looking to find a new hobby, get in touch to find out if Pathways is the right fit for you! Learn more at https://lnkd.in/gjgjwtgT

Let's give an enormous shout out to the frontline members of our team who stepped in to be a Cyclone Hero over the weekend. These 80 staff members provided continuous support and comfort to Carpentaria participants in the lead up to and during Cyclone Fina. They all demonstrated incredible commitment, resilience and compassion, despite the challenging situation. We also acknowledge everyone in Carpentaria's team who played a part, and are still playing a key role, in managing the event. From administrative and logistics support, through to our Maintenance team, who are working to repair damage and remove trees and debris from Carpentaria homes and facilities as quickly as they can. 🙌

Last week, members of Carpentaria’s Ready for Home team had the opportunity to attend the AAG Ageing at the Centre conference in Alice Springs. Ready for Home High Intensity Client Services Manager Claire Olssen, alongside NT Health Social Worker - Intensive Case Manager Hannah Dickman, shared an overview of the innovative Ready for Home program. Their presentation highlighted the collaborative partnership between NT Health and Carpentaria, showcasing how this integrated Out of Hospital care approach is making a real difference in aged care transitions. We’re proud to be part of a team that’s leading the way with new solutions and seeing such positive outcomes for older Territorians. To learn more about the program, visit https://lnkd.in/ggXHQWss

Courtney (Carpentaria Allied Health Assistant) and Claire (Manager, Ready for Home Program) were pleased to attend the Indigenous Allied Health Australia (IAHA) Health Academy graduation recently. We send our congratulations to all graduates, with a special mention to Devina and Kiaasha (pictured) who were both awarded an 'Inspiration Award' for their ability to inspire others through their positive, strengths-based approach and dedication to their studies. 🤩🌟 Devina and Kiaasha both completed student placements at Carpentaria, where they were mentored by our multi-disciplinary team of clinicians. We are proud to host students for placement, and to provide employment and career development opportunities that build the capability of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce.
