Health Infrastrucutere is proud to officially launch our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), marking the second phase of our reconciliation journey. The plan outlines how Aboriginal knowledge, perspectives and practices will be meaningfully embedded across the planning, design and delivery of health infrastructure in NSW. In launching the RAP, Emma Skulander, Chief Executive of Health Infrastructure (HI) acknowledged the Innovate RAP is about continuing to listen and work alongside our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities: “the health spaces we build are places of connection, care and belonging, and that we have an opportunity to contribute to a more equitable and respectful health system for generations to come.” To commemorate the launch milestone, HI welcomed Aboriginal Elder, Binowee who shared a traditional Welcome to Country, followed by a didgeridoo performance by musician Brendan. With a capital works program of $12.4 billion and almost 100 infrastructure projects currently underway - HI is working alongside government, industry partners and communities to build the future of our healthcare system.
