500,000 trees planted! 🌳 We are so proud to have supported Bangalow Koalas and WWF-Australia in achieving this incredible milestone. These trees form the growing wildlife corridor in Northern NSW and are going to help home our beloved koalas in no time at all (and actually already are!) Next goal: 1 million trees 🚀

Our Seabin has been operating for just 6 months and has already collected 309,514 plastic items in Sydney Harbour. That's 309,514 items that should never have ended up in the ocean.

We're proud to announce our partnership with Dr Ali and the Magnetic Island Koala Hospital 🐨 Did you know Magnetic Island is home to an estimated 800+ wild koalas? To support the incredible work happening on the island, we have funded a rescue vehicle to help Dr Ali reach sick and injured koalas quickly and safely. When our team visited the hospital in October, we saw firsthand just how much care goes into every rescue. With Dr Ali’s dedication and passion, the koalas on Magnetic Island are in very good hands.

To wrap up Mental Health Month in Australia, we were stoked to have Osher Günsberg drop by Koala HQ for an open and inspiring chat about mental health. It was the kind of conversation that stays with you, one that sparked meaningful chats across our team. Osher is one of Australia’s most recognisable broadcasters and has spent years using his platform to advocate for mental health through his books, podcast and talks across the country to encourage open, real conversations. He shared his story with the humour, warmth and authenticity he’s known for, opening up about how he’s learnt to face challenges and care for his mental health throughout his career in the public eye. We’re grateful to Osher for sharing his time, storytelling and perspective and for reminding our team why these conversations matter.

Since 2017, we have been partnering with WWF-Australia and this year we celebrate reaching $4M in donations! 🎉🐨 Here are just a few of the initiatives we’re proud to have supported: •Advocacy for the establishment of the Great Koala National Park in NSW •Training and supporting detection dogs to collection data for over 3,000 koala surveys to Canines for Wildlife •Habitat restoration projects across key koala regions •Purchasing crucial equipment for koala carer teams to safely capture, care for, and release injured koalas •Distributing more than 90,000 trees to landholders for koala habitat planting •In addition to other projects, including the funding of an electric vehicle for Friends of the Koala. And our work won’t end there! As WWF Australia’s Visionary Partner for Koala Conservation, we are proud to back the goal to double koala numbers across Eastern Australia by 2050 and continue to fund habitat protection, restoration and care so koalas can thrive for generations.
