DJAARA recently hosted it's first Local Government Showcase (forum), bringing local government from across Djandak to Larnangurrak - Our Place. We had a great day meeting staff from 11 councils, showcasing DJAARA Group capability through our exhibitions, presentations and yarns. DJAARA is building strong partnerships to deliver positive outcomes for all of the community across Dja Dja Wurrung Country. It was such a great buzz in the room and we look forward to working with local government on shared priorties, aspirations and implementing Djaara rights through the RSA. It’s been a busy time for the GBAC Committee, with another valuable meeting held this week with The Hon Natalie Hutchins MP, Minister for Government Services, Treaty and First Peoples, Women and Prevention of Family Violence, and Terry Garwood, Deputy Secretary, First Peoples–State Relations. With the state government's recent Treaty announcement and digital connectivity remaining a key GBAC priority, there was plenty to discuss.
