  • What does it really take to overcome the systemic barriers that slow government collaboration? This was the challenge the Public Sector Commission (PSC) set out to tackle and we have developed a solution! With hundreds of Queensland public sector professionals at the table, the last year has been all about creating solutions that don’t just talk about collaboration—but make it happen. The result? We are incredibly excited to launch Collaboration Connect: Collaborating in government—a practical and innovative initiative designed to redefine the way we work together across agencies. 🎯 How was it delivered? At the heart of Collaboration Connect: Collaborating in government is its human-centred design, developed in close partnership with public sector professionals. Real challenges shaped real solutions. Through nine co-design sessions, the PSC worked with stakeholders from frontline teams to policy leaders, testing and refining tools to meet the complex realities of cross-agency collaboration. The process touched every layer of public service and delivered resources that empower teams to break down silos, build trust, and innovate. From interactive readiness assessments to frameworks and case studies, this suite of tools was designed to meet one goal: to make government collaboration more effective, actionable, and impactful. 💡 Turning Collaboration Theory into Practice This initiative doesn’t just promote collaboration—it models it. PSC worked side by side with public servants to ensure that the tools reflect everyday challenges and tangible pathways to overcome them. It's about creating meaningful change—together. Imagine a scenario where a team hits a roadblock on a cross-agency project. Instead of frustration, they turn to Collaboration Connect: Collaborating in government tools: ✅ A readiness assessment helps identify gaps. ✅ Frameworks and real-world case studies inspire new solutions. ✅ A shared language allows ideas to flow, turning challenges into opportunities. 🌟 The Outcome: A Stronger, Unified Public Sector By embedding collaboration practices that focus on trust, shared ownership, and clear pathways, the PSC is helping teams across Queensland achieve far more than they could alone. The project highlights that collaboration is not just desirable—it’s essential for tackling today’s challenges. 💬 The journey isn’t over, and collaboration is an ongoing process. We’d love to hear from you: What’s been the greatest barrier to collaboration in your experience? How have you tackled it? 📌 Visit https://lnkd.in/gYs3yVG4 to explore Collaboration Connect: Collaborating in government and start transforming how your team works together. Let’s keep building a stronger, more connected Queensland Government. #CollaborationConnect #DeliveredByPSC #PublicSectorInnovation #QueenslandGovernment #TogetherWeDeliver

  • We were frockin’ and rollin’ in October!   The PSC was proud to once again support Frocktober, a fun way to shine a spotlight on ovarian cancer. With a five-year survival rate of just 49%, the vague and often-missed symptoms make early detection critical. Greater awareness and timely diagnosis can save lives.     With sparkles, animal print, vibrant colours and own choice frocking fun as well, we saw some incredible fundraising efforts and raised over $1000.    Learn more about ovarian cancer at https://lnkd.in/g6cUqQUd   #Frocktober #OvarianCancer #CancerAwareness
