R2S Officially Opens U.S. Iron Dome Interceptor Production Facility in Camden, Arkansas R2S - the joint venture between RAFAEL Advanced Defense Systems and RTX - has officially opened its new Iron Dome interceptor production facility in Camden, Arkansas. The ceremony, held with Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, marks a major step in expanding U.S. production capacity for combat-proven air-defense systems and strengthening the long-standing industrial partnership between the United States and Israel. This new facility will serve as a critical production center supporting interceptor manufacturing for U.S. requirements, including the U.S. Marine Corps’ Medium Range Intercept Capability (MRIC) program. The opening was made possible with the close cooperation of the Israeli Missile Defense Organization (IMDO), whose partnership remains essential to the Iron Dome system’s continued success. Yoav Tourgeman, President & CEO of RAFAEL, stated: “The opening of this facility marks another meaningful step in strengthening the availability of proven air-defense capabilities for the United States and its partners. Rafael’s decades of operational experience, scientific excellence, and technological innovation are now joined with a robust American production base, ensuring that interceptors can be delivered efficiently and at scale. We value the partnership that made this possible and remain committed to supporting the security needs of the U.S. and its allies.” RAFAEL Chairman, Dr. Yuval Steinitz, said: “Iron Dome and its interceptor have protected millions of civilians in Israel and demonstrated their value in some of the most demanding operational environments. Establishing production in the United States through R2S reflects the maturity, trust, and long-term cooperation between our companies and our nations. We are proud that this life-saving technology will now be sustained by an American industrial base, contributing both to regional economic growth and to the security of the United States and its partners.” This milestone further aligns industrial capabilities, operational requirements, and the shared commitment of RAFAEL, RTX, the U.S. Department of Defense, the Marine Corps, and IMDO to ensure the availability of world-leading air-defense solutions. 🔗 Full announcement: https://lnkd.in/dwzSpAyA R2S Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Raytheon RTX State of Arkansas United States Marine Corps Israeli Ministry of Defense

Thank you to R2S – the great partnership between Raytheon and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems – for including our team at AEDC at their Grand Opening Event today in Calhoun County, Arkansas. This project is very special to our team in Arkansas. I’ve had the opportunity to join Governor Sanders for meetings around the world with RTX leadership and Rafael leadership, including meetings earlier this year at the Paris Air Show and at one of Rafael’s facilities in Israel. This project represents 60 jobs for Arkansans and a $63 million investment, as well as a major milestone in our nation’s defense and partnership with Israel. We appreciate the leadership from R2S for bringing this state-of-the-art manufacturing facility to the Natural State. Congrats to all involved. L3Harris Technologies' new Arkansas Advanced Propulsion Facilities campus will include more than 20 buildings across 110 acres at the company’s Camden site and is expected to increase large solid rocket motor manufacturing capacity six-fold. The new facilities will specialize in producing medium and large rocket motors critical for tactical and air defense missiles, missile defense targets, interceptors and hypersonic vehicles, and emerging missile defense needs. “When companies like L3Harris do business in Arkansas, it not only reinforces the aerospace and defense industry - our number one export - but it also enhances our ability to supply America’s military and our allies with critical defense systems that preserve freedom around the world,” said Governor Sanders. “I am incredibly grateful to L3Harris’ CEO, Chris Kubasik, with whom I had the privilege of meeting at the Paris Air Show earlier this year, for recognizing the strategic value Arkansas and the community of Camden bring to the table, and I look forward to building upon our partnership in the future.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/eetAzJjA Aerojet Rocketdyne | Ouachita Partnership for Economic Development OPED | International Paris Air Show
