We were honored to welcome the new Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) Director, Dr. Alicia Jackson, to the Food Allergy Fund Leadership Forum, where she underscored why food allergies are “really growing into a crisis” and why root-cause science remains urgently needed. Dr. Jackson highlighted the “valley of death” between discovery and real solutions and highlighted how ARPA-H can take on bold, high-risk questions that traditional funders can’t, compressing timelines from decades to years. She noted that ARPA-H is working with the Food Allergy Fund and others to identify the priority areas that must advance, and called for fearless program managers from academia, startups, and industry to help drive breakthroughs. She left us with ARPA-H’s central challenge: “What if we could flip a switch and reset everyone’s immune system?” FAF is proud to be an ARPA-H Investor Catalyst Hub member and looks forward to continued collaboration with Dr. Jackson and the ARPA-H team. #FAFLeadershipForum
