We've spent the last year at Bloomberg News reporting on Tesla's dangerous doors. The trapped babies and pets. The deaths and the firefighters who had to watch people burn inside. Now, it turns out that futuristic electric door Tesla made famous has been copied in DOZENS of other car models from the Ford Mustang Mach-E to Lexus SUVs. In our latest piece in the DANGEROUS DOORS series, which dropped tonight from Keith Naughton, Max Rivera, Gabrielle Coppola and Kara Carlson, we tracked down 70 models where complaints have been lodged on these kinds of door handles in the US. Already, since our reporting, US regulators have opened up a formal investigation. China is close to passing new rules on the doors to fix the problem. Tesla, Rivian and others have said they plan to redesign how the handles or backups work. But this new reporting shows that these problems go way deeper than Tesla. And it's not just EVs, either. Take a read, I'll drop a gift link in the comments.

About 45 minutes west of downtown Chicago lies a rather unassuming, glass-encased data center that some of the world’s largest markets depend on. By one 2018 estimate, at least $25 quadrillion of notional trade volume passes through the facility every day. The Aurora, Illinois, complex has served as the primary hub of digital operations for the world’s largest futures exchange operator CME Group Inc. for nearly two decades. While it's famous among high-frequency traders and Wall Street firms, it became infamous on Friday among all who trade across equities, foreign exchange, bonds and commodities markets globally. A malfunction in the cooling system at the complex took down virtually all CME futures and options trading platforms, wreaking havoc for traders around the world. Here's our profile of the most critical data center to the world's futures markets: https://lnkd.in/ewuTM52d.
