Impacting the health, social and economic well-being of Denver by supporting exceptional care provided by Denver Health.
About us
Denver Health Foundation helps donors with diverse interests make a comprehensive impact on the health, social and economic well-being of the greater Denver area by supporting the exceptional care provided by Denver Health. For over 160 years, Denver Health has been at the center of health innovation, changing with the city as its challenges become more complex and its solutions more interrelated. Denver Health goes far beyond being a proud provider of emergency services for all and care for those with limited resources—it’s also a key community player in preventive care, children’s early care and learning, the opioid crisis and addressing the social determinants of health. Since government funding for care hardly keeps pace with the clinical and social innovations needed for our growing city, Denver Health Foundation donors make this groundbreaking work possible. Professional staff at Denver Health Foundation work with donors on opportunities to make a difference in areas such as innovation in health care delivery, school-based health clinics for children, key social and community supports and economic development through workforce development, to name a few. The Denver Health Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that operates separately from Denver Health and Hospital Authority and has its own governing structure, board of directors and by-laws. Founded in 1998, Denver Health Foundation raises private funds that support Denver Health and Hospital Authority in its role to sustain and advance the health and well-being of Denver, Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Region.

Behind the red and purple lights on Pavilion A is powerful philanthropy. The Brooke Gordon Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, supported by Brooke and Tom Gordon and other generous donors, helps Denver Health deliver advanced epilepsy care to every patient who needs it, regardless of income or insurance status. Denver Health Foundation is grateful for partners who are "all in" for people living with epilepsy.
🔴🟣 This month, Denver Health's Pavilion A building was lit red and purple in recognition of National Epilepsy Awareness Month. November marks a time to raise understanding and support for the millions of people affected by epilepsy. This year’s theme, “All In,” highlights that everyone has a role in reducing stigma and strengthening support for those living with this condition. Epilepsy affects nearly 3.4 million Americans, meaning 1 in 26 people will develop epilepsy in their lifetime. Although it is the fourth most common neurological disorder, it remains widely misunderstood. Denver Health’s Brooke Gordon Comprehensive Epilepsy Center is accredited as a Level 4 epilepsy center by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC). This is the highest ranking and reflects our ability to provide advanced diagnosis and treatment, ensuring exceptional epilepsy care for all patients. Denver Health's Chad K. Bush, MD, neurology epilepsy physician, joined FOX31 KDVR / Channel 2 KWGN to discuss the importance of awareness, diagnosis and support for individuals living with epilepsy. 📽️ Watch the full segment: https://lnkd.in/gzWcV2XA 🧠 Learn more about our Epilepsy Center: https://lnkd.in/g9aJYv3m #NationalEpilepsyAwarenessMonth #BrookeGordonEpilepsyCenter

Philanthropy plays a vital role in ensuring every newborn at Denver Health receives exceptional care from the very beginning. The Hello, Little One program continues a long tradition of supporting families when it matters most, made possible by generous donors and volunteers who believe in Denver Health's mission!
✨ Denver Health proudly introduced Hello, Little One this week! Our new program will replace Newborns in Need starting in January, continuing the legacy of ensuring every baby delivered at our hospital has the essentials they need for a strong start. At a special preview event, we unveiled refreshed welcome bags, a new logo and updated items for parents welcoming their newborns with us. Supported by our Patient Experience team, Volunteer Services team, and the Denver Health Foundation, Hello, Little One provides every family with essentials like diapers, a blanket and a sleep sack. Since 2003, volunteers have packed thousands of bags for new parents. Last year alone, more than 4,300 babies were born at Denver Health. CEO Donna Lynne, donors and volunteers were among the first to pack the new Hello, Little One bags. 💙 If you would like to support Hello, Little One and help provide welcome bags for new families, visit: https://lnkd.in/g4aNCYzt #HelloLittleOne #DenverHealthBabies
