  • Happy Halloween from the HR team! 🐯🎃 We went on safari for this year’s festivities and had so much fun welcoming the little trick-or-treaters from our on-site child care center. One young witch even cast “happiness spells” on our team and we’re still feeling the magic! 😊🪄 Moments like these remind us how special it is to work in a place that celebrates creativity, community, and connection — even on the spookiest of days. 👻🧡 #WorkCulture #TeamHR #HalloweenAtWork

On Tuesday, the Dripping Springs community gathered to celebrate the ribbon-cutting of Wildwood Springs Elementary, the district’s sixth elementary school. The new campus, which opened in August, welcomed families, staff, and students for a memorable event. The celebration included a short program, performances by the middle school band and cheerleaders, and guided tours. This 117,835-square-foot campus features innovative learning spaces, a media center, fine arts rooms, and a custom split-level playground. We're proud to have provided our construction expertise to bring this project to life and deliver a campus ready for students to learn, grow, and thrive. Thank you to Dripping Springs ISD and Pfluger Architects for the opportunity to help bring this vision to life. Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/g3iGf_RG

Transforming K–5 Math with ♥️ & Strategy | Bridging Research and Practice to Support Targeted Student-Centered Instruction | Regional Elementary Math Specialist | Austin, ESC 13

🚨MATH TRANSFORMATION UNDER CONSTRUCTION 🚧 We wrapped up 2 incredible days with the passionate educators of Dripping Springs ISD—and what a journey it’s been! Together, we began exploring Building Thinking Classrooms K–12, diving deep into 15+ years of research from Peter Liljedahl and bringing the Optimal Conditions for Thinking to life in real time. 🧠✨ From day one, educators were: ✔️ Standing and visibly randomized ✔️ Thinking in groups at vertical whiteboards ✔️ Engaging in low-floor, high-ceiling tasks ✔️ Taking risks and building a culture of thinking, not mimicking What made this experience truly powerful? 🎯 Campus leaders and district administrators didn’t just visit—they participated. Side-by-side with teachers, they rolled up their sleeves, solved tasks, and modeled what it looks like to be a learner first. That’s leadership in action! 👏 Hats off to DSISD for investing in a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and cognitive lift across various grade levels. We can’t wait to see how thinking continues to flourish in your classrooms this year! See you in the new year to continue to share ideas, share resources and talk about Curricular BTC Lesson Structures! #BuildingThinkingClassrooms #K12Math #InstructionalLeadership #DSISD #MathEducation #VerticalWhiteboards #ThinkingTasks #VisibleRandomGroups #TeacherPD #StudentCenteredLearning
