A Thanksgiving Message from CMSgt Josh J. Baker, President of EANGUS As we gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our National Guard Soldiers, Airmen, families, retirees, and the entire EANGUS community. Whether you are starting the day with a community turkey trot, sitting down to dinner with friends and family, or sharing a meal in a deployed environment with your brothers and sisters in uniform, I hope you find moments of peace, connection, and reflection. Please also keep in your thoughts and prayers SSgt Andrew Wolfe and SPC Sarah Beckstrom of the West Virginia National Guard, along with their families. We wish them strength, comfort, and a full and speedy recovery. And as always, let us hold close in our hearts all of our Guardsmen and Service Members who are away from home today — those standing watch, responding to emergencies, or serving in harm’s way around the world. Their sacrifice, and the sacrifice of their families, is deeply appreciated. I am profoundly thankful for this community and for the strength of our association. Your dedication, advocacy, and support make our mission possible. Together, we continue to ensure that every enlisted member of the National Guard is represented, supported, and never forgotten. Wishing you and your families a safe, warm, and meaningful Thanksgiving. — CMSgt Josh J. Baker President, EANGUS

🎙️ EANGUS President Josh J. Baker recently joined America’s Warrior Partnership for their Battle Rhythm discussion on “Serving Those Who Serve Part-Time.” Pres. Baker shared how EANGUS continues to advocate for the benefits, recognition, and support that National Guard members and their families deserve — from TRICARE parity and family support programs to ensuring every Guardsman receives veteran status. 💬 “Too many of our Guardsmen serve part-time but face full-time challenges. EANGUS exists to change that.” — CMSgt Josh J. 📢 Standing United for Our Service Members 🇺🇸 Six of the nation’s leading military and veteran service organizations — including the Air & Space Forces Association, Association of the United States Army, Marine Corps Association, National Guard Association of the United States, Reserve Organization of America, and EANGUS (Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States) — have signed a joint letter to Congress urging lawmakers to restore government funding and protect the pay and readiness of our Armed Forces. Military families, federal employees, and defense civilians are already feeling the impact of the shutdown — but our collective voice can make a difference. 💪 👉 Read the full letter and take action through the EANGUS Legislative Action Center: https://lnkd.in/giPzKGqM 🗣 Join a professional association that advocates for you and your family — because when we stand together, we are stronger. #EANGUS #NGAUS #ROA #AUSA #AFA #MCA #PayOurTroops #NationalGuard #MilitaryAdvocacy #WeCareForAmerica

🇺🇸 EANGUS is standing up for our National Guard members during the shutdown. We’ve urged Congress to amend the Shutdown Fairness Act (S.3012) to include Title 32 Active Guard and Reserve (AGR) and Dual-Status Technicians (DSTs) — many of whom are serving without pay or have been furloughed. These Guardsmen are essential to our nation’s readiness — maintaining aircraft, managing logistics, and ensuring our forces are trained and mission-ready. No one serving their country should have to take out loans or skip bills just to get by. EANGUS continues to advocate for fairness, stability, and the dignity of national service. Those who defend our Nation should never be asked to serve without pay. #EANGUS #NationalGuard #PayOurTroops #ShutdownFairnessAct #WeCareForAmerica #Readiness

Take action today: Our service members deserve protection 🇺🇸 The Pay Our Troops Act (H.R. 5401) ensures that during a federal shutdown—when politics stall—those in uniform don’t go unpaid. It’s a simple, powerful way to safeguard military families from disruption. Your voice counts. Head to the EANGUS Legislative Action Center and contact your elected representatives. Ask them to support H.R. 5401 and its Senate companion. 👉 https://lnkd.in/giPzKGqM When veterans speak, leaders should listen. #EANGUS #PayOurTroops #VA #Advocacy #Veterans #ProtectOurTroops

🤝 United in Advocacy NGAUS, EANGUS, and ROA have come together to urge Congress to prevent a government shutdown that threatens readiness, modernization, and pay for our service members. The joint letter also calls for passage of the Pay Our Troops Act (H.R. 5401) to protect military families if a shutdown occurs. There’s no substitute for time spent on the ground with our enlisted force. At the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States ( EANGUS ) of Georgia 2025 State Conference, I was reminded that our greatest strength isn’t only in readiness or lethality, it’s in the people who live the mission every day. Conversations with Georgia’s enlisted Soldiers and Airmen, alongside the leadership of the Georgia National Guard, reinforced how identity, discipline, and storytelling shape the force of tomorrow. When we invest in our enlisted professionals, we invest in the future of the National Guard. #StrongerTodayStrongerTomorrow #NationalGuard National Guard Bureau

Today, we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and remember how our Nation stood together in the face of tragedy. No matter where we were, it was a moment that united us all. The strength of the National Guard is our people—433,000 citizen-Soldiers and Airmen who leave families, communities, and careers behind to answer the call. From natural disasters to emerging threats, the Guard protects our homeland, alongside partners at every level. On 9/11 and in the years since, Americans have shown that we find our greatest strength in one another in our darkest hours. As we honor the civilians, first responders, and the fallen we lost that day, may we carry their legacy forward through service, resilience, and unity. Always Ready, Always There.
