With the support of JPMorganChase’s Force for Good program, we spent the past few months building a stronger system to help us better understand youth progress and outcomes. This collaboration has already enhanced how we measure success and strengthened the way we serve our youth now and in the future. With these enhanced dashboards, we now have clearer insights, smarter decision-making, and an even stronger foundation of support for the incredible youth we serve. This upgrade is already helping us deepen our understanding and amplify our mission. 📊🚀 To our amazing JPMC volunteers, your talent, dedication, and heart made this project possible, and we are incredibly grateful. 🙌 #EnterpriseforYouth #DCYF #OEWD #YouthWorkforceDevelopment #TechForGood #CommunityPartnerships #SocialImpact #NonprofitInnovation #ImpactMetrics #YouthEmpowerment

We envision all youth are prepared for their professional future and become successful members of society.
About us
The mission of Enterprise for Youth is to empower young people to prepare for and discover career opportunities. Through Enterprise, youth cultivate their individual interests and potential through training, guidance, and employment experiences in supportive and diverse environments. Enterprise for Youth was founded in 1969 by Gladys Thacher, a non-profit visionary and champion of young people, who also helped found the San Francisco Education Fund, San Francisco Village, and Lifeprint, formerly Alumnae Resources/Lifeplan Center. Since then, Enterprise has evolved from helping a handful of students find summer jobs into an integrated group of programs that combine job-readiness training with experiential learning. More than 20,000 San Francisco youth, including young people from almost every public and private high school in San Francisco, have learned the skills and values essential to workplace success at Enterprise for Youth. Enterprise programs provide youth with the ability and opportunity to find and retain jobs, explore career opportunities through internships and job shadowing, get career and college counseling, and develop life skills crucial for their transition from high school to adult life. Enterprise also operates one of San Francisco's largest job banks focused exclusively on high school students. Learning in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment, Enterprise for Youth's members gain more than valuable skills and training. They acquire confidence. They build trusting relationships with supportive adult counselors. They serve as role models to their peers. And, they realize the world is truly open to them through education, work, and career.

We are remembering the extraordinary life of Eva Auchincloss, former Executive Director and beloved supporter of Enterprise for Youth, who passed away this weekend. A true trailblazer, Eva broke barriers throughout her life—from becoming the first woman to run for Millburn, NJ’s Township Council, to leading Schnell Publishing while raising her daughters, to championing women’s sports as the founding director of the Women’s Sports Foundation and an advocate for Title IX. After moving to San Francisco, she continued her lifelong commitment to service through leadership roles with Enterprise for Youth and numerous national and local organizations. Her home became a welcoming community hub where young people found mentorship and support. Eva’s legacy lives on in the institutions she strengthened and the countless lives she touched. She will be remembered with deep gratitude and love. https://lnkd.in/gRhfSVwt

At the S.F. International High School Career Fair, students had the chance to explore new career paths, connect with industry professionals, and gain meaningful insight that could shape their futures. Hosted in partnership with Anna Clenshaw and Emma Vieira of the Cinta Aveda Institute and Rueben Jimenez and Summer Gorman Petersil, MBA of Amazon Web Service (AWS), this experience went beyond a traditional career fair, focusing on real conversations, student-led interviews, and authentic stories from professionals. After a short student-led tour, participants rotated through Q&A sessions where youth asked about career paths, education, and day-to-day work life. Students walked away with valuable insight into fields like cosmetology and software development, sparking new ideas and expanding their vision for what’s possible. We’re grateful for this incredible opportunity to help young people explore career paths in a personal and empowering way! 🚀 #DCYF #OEWD #CareerFair #CareerExploration #YouthEmpowerment #FutureWorkforce #CareerReadiness #TechCareers #CosmetologyCareers
