Executive Office of Public Safety and Security reposted this
Today, the CHDS Executive Education Program (EEP) brought together leaders from across Massachusetts and Rhode Island alongside FIFA World Cup 2026™ - Canada, Mexico and the United States officials for a focused discussion on large-scale event preparedness in the lead-up to the FIFA World Cup™ Boston 2026 games. Through facilitated dialogue and video-driven scenarios, participants strengthened cross-jurisdictional communication, refined crisis leadership strategies, and advanced coordinated planning for next year‘s international events. The NE region is well served by the dedicated professionals who invested their time and expertise in building readiness and resilience. The EEP is grateful to our planning partners at Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) - especially Dawn Brantley, David Bryant, Mark Talbot, and Mike Josti - as well as our partners within FIFA World Cup 2026™ - Canada, Mexico and the United States - including G.B. Yesterday, Secretary Kwon joined the Massachusetts State Police for the 7th Annual Faith-Based Safety & Security Seminar at Gillette Stadium, where nearly 400 leaders gathered to learn best practices for protecting houses of worship and community institutions. In partnership with EOPSS and DCJIS, MSP also launched a new statewide hate crimes reporting portal designed to simplify reporting, standardize data collection, and help law enforcement and community partners identify and respond to trends more effectively.
