A proud day for Green Plains! We were joined by Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen at Green Plains Wood River to celebrate the start of carbon sequestration across our three Nebraska plants. Together, these facilities will capture and permanently store approximately 800,000 tons of biogenic CO2 each year while producing nearly 300 million gallons of low-carbon ethanol annually.

We’ve successfully commenced carbon capture and storage operations at our York, Nebraska facility, with biogenic CO₂ now being delivered to the Tallgrass Trailblazer pipeline for permanent sequestration. California has taken a major step forward in advancing cleaner and more sustainable fuel. With the approval of E15 sales, this policy change is expected to absorb millions of bushels of corn, providing vital support to American farmers. At Green Plains, we’re proud to promote renewable fuels that empower farmers, strengthen communities, and drive a more sustainable future for all.
