About us
Since its founding in 1928, the Hutson name has been tied to innovative agricultural products and services. With a foundation built upon a strong commitment to customer service, we have sunk our roots deep in the community. From our humble beginnings more than 90 years ago, Hutson has grown and evolved to meet the growing needs of our customers. It is through our dedicated employees and customers that we have been able to diversify from a single location farming mercantile into one of the largest John Deere dealers in North America. In 1990, Hutson acquired its first John Deere dealership and through planned growth and a continuous focus on customer service, Hutson has grown into 30 locations throughout the heartland of the United States. The Hutson product offering has grown over the years to include Lawn & Garden, Commercial Worksite, Ag Management Solutions, and Commercial Application Products. Recently, Hutson has added new divisions to provide irrigation and agronomic support for our customers. We pride ourselves in being able to provide the highest quality support and service that our customers expect and come back for year after year. Our people are passionate individuals who get involved and make a difference in the lives of our customers and our communities every day. We stand for putting our customers first, treating people with respect, and thinking creatively to solve problems. We believe strongly in supporting our communities through school city and regional events. Our Mission Statement says it best, “Let’s Grow Together”. Much like the growth Hutson has experienced, we want to help provide the solutions and support our customers need to grow their business, farm or property. This week Hutson participated in the Junior Achievement Job Spark event in Evansville, IN. We hosted 5000+ middle schoolers from 70 schools around IN, KY, and IL. For those of you not familiar with Junior Achievement, this non-profit is focused on providing youth knowledge and skills for their own economic success, plan for their future, and making smart academic and economic choices. We had dozens of participants interested in the John Deere AgTech program and learning more about what hands on careers look like at Hutson. We had a 5120M to experience and some STEM hands on experiences for the kids. It was really refreshing to see how many kids were interested in hands on careers. I even had my little rascal come through as a participant this year. Events like this sure help fill the cup!

Sometimes a handshake means more than a sale. 🤝🏻 When Mike King walked into our Paducah location, he had aspirations to own a John Deere since high school. He met Austin Droke, a fellow Marine, who took the time to hear Mike’s story and help pair him with the right piece of equipment, a John Deere X380 riding lawn tractor. Mike later wrote a heartfelt letter that made its way all the way to Deere & Co. and reminded us all what real customer service looks like. We’re proud of Austin and proud to serve customers like Mike every single day.
