    I have been interviewing quite a lot lately. Great interviews are the best. Bad interviews are the worst. Go figure! 🙃 One thing to share with the interviewers and interviewees out there... 🤝 The interviewer should not have to work hard to bring the interviewee to life. The interviewee should latch on to questions / the discussion and bring their candidacy to life. If it feels like 'work', pass. 🤕 A few notes: 1. If you are sourcing passive talent, the reverse is true early on. The interviewee shouldn't have to work to bring the interviewer and opportunity to life. 2. The interviewer should be thoroughly prepared. You can't just show up and expect someone to be a mind reader. You have to be a good interviewer w/ a good interview plan. 3. 'Bringing something to life' does not = talking in one direction the whole time. If you are the interviewer and are following the three notes above and an interview feels like you are pulling 🦷 🦷 , it's them, not you. Pass. If you aren't following the three notes above, it's likely you, not them. Do that first. Happy interviewing!
