Community isn't a nice-to-have. It keeps us going. When Jomaree Pinkard founded :INCLUDED CPG, he called on a lifetime of memories in his mom's kitchen in Queens—a safe space where everyone shared food, fellowship and strength for the day ahead. It became the blueprint for :INCLUDED, a community where founders and leaders of color in CPG can advocate for one another. Jomaree and co-founder Victoria Ho are building a table where entrepreneurs of color celebrate heritage, share resources and find support for a challenging journey. At Justworks, we share :INCLUDED's values of intentionality, belonging and the belief that when we break bread together, we all rise higher. Because the truth is, the ventures that last aren't built alone. They're built by people who genuinely embrace the help and the success of other people. And with that kind of community behind you—real friends in the space—there's nothing you can't do.

No task is too big or small for a small business owner. It’s true, running your own business comes with a lot of responsibilities, and yes, a lot of different hats. And even when inspiration strikes in the middle of the night, these entrepreneurs in the :INCLUDED CPG community are finding success in the most unique ways.

Cheers are in order 🥂 Every big venture takes a village, and for our friends in the :INCLUDED CPG community, those support systems come in all shapes and sizes. But one thing’s for sure: whether it’s a former colleague or a cherished family member, community is key in every success story.

You don’t need to be the most patient, resilient, or strong. With a community behind you, you can trust that someone’s always there to fill in the gaps—even if you’re running your small business solo. Community really is everything for small business owners fighting the same uphill battles in isolation. When you lean on your peers, those mountains start to look a lot more like speed bumps. And that’s especially true when it comes to the community of entrepreneurs we brought together with :INCLUDED CPG. These small business owners know they’re never truly on their own—in business or at the table (a real treat when the table is at Hav & Mar). “You can go fast if you go alone.
