Exciting news for students pursuing higher education in Kentucky! KCTCS and Morehead State University have expanded their partnership with a new transfer agreement that streamlines the path from an associate to a bachelor’s degree. The agreement aligns KCTCS programs with Morehead State bachelor’s degrees in key fields like business, technology, education, and healthcare — helping students save time, reduce costs, and reach their academic goals more efficiently. It’s Robot Gladiator League day! Good luck to our four KCTCS colleges: Bluegrass, Big Sandy, Somerset, and Ashland, as their students put their engineering and problem-solving skills to the test in this exciting robotics competition at Newton’s Attic. The Robot Gladiator League challenges teams to design, build, and battle robots in a thrilling test of innovation, teamwork, and technical expertise. These students are representing the future of Kentucky’s advanced manufacturing and engineering workforce! Henderson Community College Welding Technology students put their skills to work for a great cause! Students from both morning and evening classes designed and built new soccer goals for the Webster County Youth Soccer League! Using GMAW (MIG) in 5G and 6G positions, they practiced precision welding and fabrication while giving back to their community. Special thanks to Rebecca R. Caliendo, GOTS Coordinator and Welding Instructor, for leading the project, and to Karolann Greenwell, Webster County Youth Soccer League Commissioner, for partnering with HCC to make it possible. #KCTCS #HandsOnLearning #CommunityStrong

KCTCS and Thomas More University have launched a new partnership called Pathways to More! This program creates a clear, affordable path for students to take classes at KCTCS while being dually admitted to Thomas More, receive transfer scholarships, and enjoy a seamless transition to complete their four-year degree! Amazon Web Services (AWS) is currently experiencing widespread technical issues that may cause outages or slow response times for some KCTCS systems, including but not limited to Blackboard, college admissions applications, the KCTCS mobile app, and other online services. Our IT team is actively monitoring the situation and working with AWS to restore full functionality as soon as possible.
