It is with sadness that we share the passing of Gladys Sandlin, our MNHC matriarch, on May 1. Gladys was a former Executive Director of MNHC. For 25 years, she kept our doors open and worked tirelessly with health leaders, policymakers, and community organizations to improve the health and well-being of generations in the Mission and Excelsior districts of San Francisco. We celebrate Gladys’s life, honor her legacy, and remain deeply grateful for the lasting contributions she made to MNHC. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and our community she championed.

🎄✨ What a Magical Day in the Mission! ✨🎄 This past weekend, we celebrated our Annual Children’s Christmas Party, and it was nothing short of amazing! 🌟 Watching the joy on the faces of the children and their families reminded me of the incredible sense of community we have here in the Mission. 🎅 We passed out over 1,000 toys, snapped 280+ photos with Santa, and shared plenty of delicious food with our neighbors. The laughter and excitement of the children made this event truly unforgettable. A huge THANK YOU to our incredible team members and volunteers who poured their hearts into making this day possible. Your dedication and hard work behind the scenes brought so much joy to so many. To our amazing donors—thank you for your generosity and kindness. Your support made it possible for us to spread holiday cheer to families who look forward to this event every year.
