Every year around this time, I’m reminded that gratitude is more than a date on a calendar. It’s an opportunity to take a pause, a deep breath, and a mental inventory of the things that matter most. For me, it’s a special chance to recognize the thousands of Lineage team members around the globe who make our mission of feeding the world possible. And while Thanksgiving may be a North American tradition, the spirit behind it – reflection, connection, and appreciation – extends far beyond it.   So let me take this chance to say something simple and sincere: THANK YOU.   What you do everyday matters – not just in the big, visible ways, but in the countless moments most people never see or think about. A family gathering around a holiday table, a child grabbing an afterschool snack from the fridge, a community depending on food being exactly where it needs to be, when it needs to be there – your commitment brings those moments to life. Our work may not always make headlines, but it keeps the world moving, and that is something we should all be proud of.   No doubt, this year has seen its share of challenges. Yet through it all, what has stood out most is the way you continue to show up – with grit, with steadiness, with the same determination that has defined Lineage from the very beginning. That spirit of resilience is one of this company’s most remarkable attributes, and I am inspired by it more than you know.   So please know this: I deeply appreciate what each of you contributes to this company. I am continually amazed by how authentically you embody our values. Alongside partners from the Detroit Lions, Meijer and Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan, Lineage team members helped pack 3,000 Thanksgiving meal kits in preparation for the upcoming holiday. Their contributions helped reach the statewide goal of 10,000 kits, providing more than 330,000 meals to families in need across Michigan. Through the Lineage Foundation for Good, we’re proud to be a part of a community that helps ensure families can count on a warm, nourishing holiday meal. #ICYMI 👏👇 This Week at Lineage 1️⃣ Our regional leadership team visited our McDonough campus and spent time volunteering at The Atlanta Mission’s Restoration House – sharing interview tips, operational insights and career-growth guidance with residents preparing for employment. A great example of our value, servant leadership and doing good in the community. 2️⃣ Teams across our network kicked off the holiday season with moments of appreciation and community support. Pottsville partnered with the Hess family to serve a Thanksgiving meal, Geneva hosted a meal of thanks after a year full of hard work and change, El Paso volunteered at the Kelly Center for Hunger Relief, Allentown Mitchell ensured every team member could take home a full holiday meal – and team members volunteered at CARES In Farmington Hills by sorting donations and stocking shelves to help families shop with dignity. Incredible job, team! 3️⃣ Lineage welcomed the Dutch Consulate and a delegation participating in the Dutch Fisheries Innovation Mission to the U.S., focused on sustainable and digital fisheries. The group included leaders from government, research and industry, who toured our Seattle facility and exchanged insights on technology, automation and sustainable practices in the cold chain. We look forward to continued collaboration that drives innovation! 4️⃣ Our Jacksonville team welcomed Lineage President & CEO Greg Lehmkuhl and Chief Commercial Officer Tim Smith for a facility visit that brought excitement and momentum. The team showcased their operations and took part in energizing conversations focused on excellence and continuous improvement. A great boost heading into the holiday season! 5️⃣ Lineage Peterborough launched its largest community initiative to date as part of our global Holidays for Good campaign – organizing 3.5 tons of product to support Project St. Thomas in Spalding. The team is also providing frozen storage to enable the project’s year-round operations and plans to volunteer at upcoming community events. A great example of our team’s commitment to supporting local communities. 6️⃣ Our Geneva, IL team hosted a Leadership Hiring Event, connecting with exceptional candidates from across the Chicagoland area. The event highlighted strong talent and leadership potential to support our continued growth. Way to go, team!
