Cape Fear Valley Hoke Hospital has earned its fifth consecutive “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group! 💙🏥 This national honor recognizes our hospital’s ongoing commitment to preventing medical errors, reducing infections, and providing safe, high-quality care to every patient we serve. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade evaluates nearly 3,000 hospitals across the country and assigns grades based on up to 30 evidence-based measures of patient safety. Achieving another “A” reflects the dedication, teamwork, and excellence of every member of our Hoke Hospital family — from nurses and physicians to environmental services and support staff — all working together to make patient safety our top priority. We’re proud to provide care our community can trust and honored to once again be recognized for delivering healthcare that puts safety first. 💙

  • Virtual hospitalists aren't backup; they're core coverage. They admit patients, respond to ED consults, round on floors, write discharge plans, and participate in rapid responses. The only difference? They do it remotely, using advanced technology and real-time collaboration with on-site teams. As Rodolphe Taby, MD, GCEL, MD, our EVP and Chief Medical Officer for Hospital and Critical Care Medicine, told Healthcare IT News: "Access to care is one of the most important issues in inpatient hospital care. Many hospitals, especially those in rural or semi-rural locations, simply do not have enough clinicians on-site." This model signals where health care is headed: more team-based, more flexible, and less bound by physical proximity. The question shifts from "Where is the care happening?" to "What care is needed and how is it coordinated?" Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/gY7Pu4XC
