The ability to cover rent, pay bills and have some food in the fridge are essential to a person's ability to focus on mental health recovery. When a person's income is limited to a social security check, like many of the people TRILOGY serves, there's simply no ability to absorb an unexpected expense. There's no emergency fund.
A few weeks ago, we hosted our RISE Gala. And that night, our generous community of supporters raised over $275,000 to help ensure that people in mental health recovery are able to meet the basic needs that make their ongoing recovery possible. Our friends rallied to ensure that people who've put so much work into their recovery don't face the prospect of losing that hard-won stability because of an unexpected expense.
Our supporters told us loud and clear that in critical moments, we can't let people fall.
We help them RISE.
RISE stands for Resources for Independence, Stability and Empowerment. For us, it's more than a word or a gala theme. It's a call to action.
RISE is the ability to cover rent, bills, and groceries so that people can focus on wellbeing. It's a promise that we'll do all we can to help the people we serve move forward in their recovery. RISE is for all the things that make all the difference in the world.
Thank you to everyone who made our gala our most successful ever, and everyone who will stand alongside us in the months to come as we dig in and help people continue to RISE!
