WST Core Value: LEGACY 💛🖤 Make a meaningful impact by learning from the past, living in the present and building for the future.
Some days stand out more than others and yesterday was one of them. After wrapping up our year-end management meeting, our West Side Tractor senior leadership team spent the afternoon giving back together. We started at Loaves & Fishes Community Services, the largest food bank in Illinois, where we helped sort and package food items. They serve 11,000 families every week and seeing the scale of their impact firsthand was incredible. Then we headed to Naper Settlement for dinner and a tour of the Mary and Richard Benck Family Agriculture Center—a space dedicated to celebrating the history and future of agriculture, something that has always been close to our family’s heart. Naper Settlement hosts 35,000 students from across Illinois every year, creating hands-on learning experiences that leave a lasting impression. We got to play Santa and deliver $440,000 in contributions from The Benck Family Foundation to help support these two organizations in 2026—both of which have missions that my grandparents (founders of WST) believed in and supported for decades. Our senior leaders play a huge role in making this possible. Their drive, innovation, and stewardship keep West Side strong—and that performance and commitment give us the ability to take care of our family, take care of our employees, and invest in the community. For me, it’s the trifecta: a job I love, a team we care about and challenge each other to be better, and the opportunity to use our success to create meaningful impact. 💛🚜 #legacy #familybusiness #seasonofgiving Jennifer Snow Brian Benck Diane Benck
