  • ❄️🌨️ Meet the West Ada Snow Patrol As winter approaches, so does one of West Ada’s most important responsibilities: ensuring that students and staff can travel safely during snowy conditions. ❄️ What many people don’t see is the work happening long before sunrise. Each time snow hits the forecast, Dr. Bub and a dedicated team of West Ada employees head out across the district to assess road conditions firsthand. 🚗💨 This “West Ada Snow Patrol” covers miles of neighborhoods, arterials, and rural routes to determine whether it’s safe to open schools. Their on-the-ground observations play a critical role in making informed, student-centered decisions. 🏫✨ Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how the team approached this process last Valentine’s Day—and yes, our Snow Gauge Yeti made an appearance. We’ll let you decide how essential he was to the operation. 👀❄️ #WeAreWestAda #SafetyFirst #WestAdaSnowPatrol #SchoolSafety #TeamWork #WinterReady #SnowDay #WestAdaStrong

  • Transformation in Progress at Lake Hazel Middle School! 🏗️✨ If you haven’t seen the renovations yet — you’re in for a treat. Thanks to the incredible support of our community through the 2017 Plant Facilities Levy (PFL), Lake Hazel Middle School is undergoing a remarkable transformation. We’re only about halfway through construction, but the difference is already inspiring. When the project is complete, students and staff will benefit from: ✅ Four brand-new classrooms ✅ Solid walls that reduce noise for focused learning ✅ Upgraded plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems ✅ ADA-compliant restrooms ✅ A renovated cafeteria and gym Before these updates, our entire student body couldn’t fit in the gym — there just weren’t enough bleachers. Now, every student is able to come together in one space, united as a community. This investment is about more than new facilities — it’s about creating opportunity, connection, and pride in our schools. 💙 👉 Take a look at some of the progress so far! #WeAreWestAda #LakeHazelMiddle #BuildingForTheFuture #PlantFacilitiesLevy #WASDCommunity #SchoolImprovements
