We’ve got an example...   BASF Coatings speakers from Germany, Shanghai, and Hong Kong worked with teachers from iTeach Schools to host an engaging webinar for hundreds of students across five campuses in India.    iTeach Schools, founded in 2015, operates 13 free, high-impact schools in Pune, Navi Mumbai and Panvel, opening doors for students from low-income communities.   For nearly a decade, our Chemetall team in Pune has been a proud funding partner, contributing donations and facilitating hands-on seminars. This year, we used our power as a fully globalized organization. Speakers Rakesh Khatri and Dr. Johanna Pape brought international insights to the students, spanning technology, AI, and future-ready career skills. Kudos to the students for their unparalleled curiosity and participation. We are proud to shape tomorrow’s innovators today!  

From the soccer field in Québec to leading a global technology team at BASF Coatings - Audrée Andersen has always combined strategy with team spirit. With a PhD in physical chemistry and nearly two decades at BASF, Audrée now heads our Global E-Coat Technology team, spanning more than 100 colleagues across 8 countries. Her work bridges innovation, technical excellence, and customer impact and it’s grounded in a clear belief: “What truly sets us apart is our people”. Outside of work, she finds balance through early morning runs, ceramic art, and curious moments in the kitchen with her family (even if they sometimes involve blue icing on the ceiling...). Lean Lab Würzburg opens its doors!   Last week we celebrated the opening of our Lean Lab in Würzburg – a major milestone for BASF Coatings and the region. This innovative lab concept enables us to digitize processes, respond faster to customer needs, and develop sustainable solutions for the automotive industry. The Lean Lab in Würzburg is part of a global rollout, tailored to local requirements at each site. With Würzburg now joining the network, we are strengthening our international competitiveness and creating a modern work environment that attracts talents and fosters collaboration across borders. From 140°C to 80-90°C: Development of a new Integrated Low-Bake Solution for automotive OEM paintshops. What if automotive paintshops could become smarter, greener, and more integrated — without compromising quality? Through ongoing innovation and close collaboration with industry partners, we thrive on making it happen: 🚗 Body and bumper can be coated simultaneously in one paint line — at oven temperatures reduced from 140°C to just 80–90°C. The trial results speak for themselves: -Up to 30% less energy consumption -Up to 20% lower CO₂e emissions -Up to 30% lower energy costs per car And there’s more: ✔ > 50% CAPEX savings – by removing the need for a separate bumper line ✔ > 60% VOC reduction – through fully waterborne bumper coating Together with our customers and partners we are constantly exploring and developing innovative technologies together that shape the paint shop of the future.
