It’s Inclusion at Work Week! This week, we’re celebrating the importance of inclusion and belonging at work. We’re proud of our employee-led Diversity and Inclusion Network (DAIN) – a group of passionate advocates helping make The Cabinet Office NSW and Premier's Department NSW more inclusive places to work. Over the past few months, our teams have hosted exciting events to support our people: ✨ The Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Network hosted a series of events, including a Diwali celebration, a Japanese language taster, and a ‘Taste of Vietnam’ experience. 🌈 The Pride Network hosted an afternoon tea to celebrate Wear It Purple Day, connecting with peers across our central government agencies in support of LGBTQIA+ youth. 🙋♀️ Women in Leadership (WIL) Network hosted an In Conversation event with The Cabinet Office Secretary. 👉 Find out more about Inclusion at Work Week and how you can get involved: https://lnkd.in/grhhz9-7 #NSWGovernment #TheCabinetOffice #PremiersDepartment #PublicSector #InclusionAtWorkWeek #DiversityAndInclusion

The Premier’s Department is working with the Commonwealth eSafety Commissioner and NSW Government agencies to support the rollout of world-first social media age restrictions. From 10 December 2025, age-restricted social media platforms will be required to take reasonable steps to prevent Australians under the age of 16 from creating or keeping an account. These changes are designed to protect young Australians at a critical stage of development from the pressures and risks of social media. 🔗 For more information, visit: https://lnkd.in/gtn4aE_c #NSWGovernment #eSafety #PremiersDepartment #OnlineSafety #SocialMedia

💬 Four local areas across NSW had an opportunity to meet with the NSW Premier and Cabinet this year as part of the Community Cabinet program. The final Community Cabinet for 2025 was held in Camden this week, with the community being able to discuss local issues and talk directly with the State’s key decision makers. Throughout 2025, the Premier's Department NSW has connected the Premier and Cabinet Ministers with businesses, community organisations and local residents at Community Cabinet events on the Central Coast, the South Coast, the Tweed region and South-West Sydney, ensuring the NSW Government has a strong understanding of the different needs of the vast communities we serve. Programs like Community Cabinet are meaningful not only for the Premier and Cabinet and the regions they visit but also for our staff, who work behind the scenes to help make these opportunities possible. Next Tuesday, communities across NSW will pause at 11am for a moment of silence to honour all Australians who have served – and those who continue to serve – in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations. Remembrance Day Services will be held across the State, including the Service to be held at The Cenotaph in Martin Place, Sydney from 10:30am to 11:30am. The event is open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend and pay their respects. At both dawn and dusk, the Sydney Opera House will again be illuminated with red poppies in tribute to our veterans and serving personnel.
