The Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct team proudly attended the Kids Advanced Therapeutics (KAT) Symposium 2025. This was an inspiring event that brought together researchers, health care professionals, government, industry and community members - all committed to embedding cutting edge therapeutics into paediatric care. Keynote speaker, Dr Mimi C. Lee MDPhD shared her compelling journey, providing evidence of her advocacy and leadership to date. Elizabeth Emma Palmer, Michelle Lorentzos MD and Paula Bray each chaired impressive sessions where participants offered local, national, and global perspectives on supporting equitable access to advanced therapeutics. Key takeaways from the day included: * Issues to consider when balancing risk and hope * The importance of bringing together shared knowledge to reduce the burden on patients and carers * The innovative approaches by patient advocacy organisations - particularly in the rare disease space - who are often carrying the burden of driving change * The value of developing health literacy and adapting governance and regulatory frameworks * The importance of coordinated networks and strategic decision making to deliver effective outcomes We thank Luminesce Alliance and Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation (SCHF) and Sydney Children's Hospitals Network for their visionary leadership and commitment to driving meaningful change! #Innovation #PaediatricCare #AdvancedTherapeutics #Collaboration #RandwickHealthInnovationPrecinct #RHIP

Randwick Health and Innovation Precinct in partnership with Cambridge Markets, hosted the 'Heart of Randwick' Christmas Markets from 3-9pm on Friday 21st November. This exciting twilight event built on the success of our 'Heart of Randwick' events this year, connecting our campus with the wider neighbourhood. We welcomed a vibrant mix of visitors which included neighbours, members of the health workforce, students and researchers to this festive event in our sandstone Heritage Quarter, at the Randwick Light Rail terminus. Our visitors wandered through a carefully curated selection of stalls which were presented alongside food and entertainment for all ages. Heart of Randwick events are shaped through consultation with our local health workforce, who have identified a strong desire for markets and after work & night-time activities. Take a colourful journey through our new buildings. Selected lifts in our new buildings at Randwick and Westmead have been transformed into vibrant, uplifting spaces thanks to several artists involved in our ‘Arts, Play and Discovery’ strategy. Each lift artwork tells a different story. From out-of-this-world characters to local landmarks, these artworks aren’t just decorations – they encourage moments of exploration, imagination and distraction for children, families and staff. Take a look behind the scenes with artists Beci Orpin, Nadia Odlum, Luca French and Annie Holcombe seeing their installed works.

🙋 The Future of Night Work: Planning, People and Precincts Last week at the Neon Forum 2025, Sophie Forbat, Head of Arts and Placemaking at the Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct, joined a panel discussion exploring The Future of Night Work: Planning, People and Precincts. The conversation brought together perspectives from across government, industry and the community on how we can design safer, more connected and inclusive places for the people who keep our cities running after dark. This comes on the heels of the NSW Government’s Night Worker Action Plan 2025-2028 (https://lnkd.in/d-kbTUvN), which sets out new initiatives to support and improve the experience of night-time workers across the state. The discussion reflects the Precinct’s ongoing commitment to creating a safe, vibrant and equitable 24-hour environment for health workers, researchers and the local community.
