What a fantastic two days at the Living Sectors Summit. As the Headline Partner for the second year, SUPA: Smart Urban Properties Australia was proud to help shape the program and share insights alongside some of the sector’s leading operators, developers and institutional investors. We opened Day 1 with a panel discussion featuring our partners from Greystar and Local: Residential, where we unpacked what early BTR operations are teaching the sector, from service models and resident expectations to the role of data and long-term partnerships. On Day 2, Sam Scoutas, our Head of Networks, led an engaging roundtable on how fibre, AI and digital infrastructure are shaping the next phase of connected living — with developers, architects and project managers sharing their perspectives on hybrid work, connectivity design and future-ready amenity planning. Across both days, a few themes stood out clearly: 🔸 Strong collaboration is critical — early coordination between partners sets projects up for smoother operations and better long-term outcomes. 🔸 Operational models need to be adaptable — every BTR community has different requirements, so service structures must flex to support them effectively. 🔸 Performance visibility is now a must-have — real-time data is central to driving efficiency, ESG alignment and investor confidence. 🔸 Connectivity must be designed in from day one — it’s now core infrastructure, not an add-on. 🔸 AI will shape the next phase of living — and fibre is the backbone enabling intelligent, adaptive communities. A huge thank you to Investa for allowing us to feature Indi Southbank as our flagship BTR project for 2025 across SUPA’s marketing collateral, and to the FuturePlace team for their strong support throughout the preparation and during the event. And of course, thank you to our clients and partners who joined us — and to everyone who attended. If we didn’t get the chance to meet you during the Summit, we’d welcome an opportunity to connect at Contact - SUPA Geoff Horth Henry Liddell Sarah Boyle Jennie Fojtik Sam Davey Brett Payne Monica Sam Craig Wood Blair Milnes Jessica Pacheco

We opened this year’s Living Sectors Summit with an operations-led conversation alongside our partners from Greystar and Local: Residential, exploring what Australia’s first wave of Build-to-Rent communities is teaching the sector. SUPA has had the opportunity to work with some of the country’s leading BTR operators, delivering essential services across multiple developments. While investment and design often take the spotlight, the real test begins once buildings go live — and today’s panel focused on those operational insights. Key themes from the discussion included: 🔸 Partnerships matter — early alignment reduces friction and strengthens long-term performance. 🔸 Flexibility is essential — each BTR asset requires adaptable commercial and service models. 🔸 Live data is foundational — operational visibility now underpins efficiency, ESG reporting, and investor confidence. 🔸 Resident experience leads — essential services must be seamless, reliable, and future-ready. A big thank you to Sarah Boyle (Greystar), Jennie Fojtik (Local), Henry Liddell (SUPA) and Geoff Horth (SUPA) for an open, insight-rich conversation. If you’d like to dive deeper, join us today to or our roundtable on how connectivity and infrastructure are shaping the next generation of communitie, and feel free to stop by the SUPA stand to continue the conversation. #LivingSectorsSummit2025 #LSS25

What does it really mean to power a development with 100% renewable energy? It refers to a model where the total electricity consumed is matched with an equivalent amount of certified renewable energy — either through on-site systems or Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). We’ve broken down the concept in this quick explainer of an approach that’s increasingly being adopted in new communities to meet sustainability targets, improve energy performance, and simplify ESG reporting. As a trusted partner in renewable energy, SUPA invests in and operates embedded generation and private energy networks, while providing guidance to help communities achieve sustainability goals and support modern living. See how it’s being delivered at The Canopy and Fareham, in partnership with Gamuda Land (Australia). 🔗 Read the full article: bit.ly/4mzXMEV
