The 2025 Living Sectors Summit was our strongest yet. Two days. 120+ speakers. Record attendance. And a senior audience spanning BTR, PBSA, co-living, land lease, retirement living, community housing and social & affordable housing. The energy in the room made one thing pretty clear: the living sectors aren’t just maturing, they’re accelerating. If you couldn’t make it, or you just want a clear snapshot of what actually landed with the market, we’ve pulled everything together in our 2025 Post-Event Report. It covers the audience breakdown, industry feedback and the themes investors, operators and policymakers kept returning to. Download the Post-Event Report → https://lnkd.in/gfnPVs9y And with the Summit moving to ICC Sydney in 2026 — along with an expanded two-day format and a much larger exhibition — we’re getting ready for the biggest year yet. Whether you’re planning to attend, bring your team, exhibit or partner with us, now’s a good time to put 2026 on your radar. Register interest for 2026 → https://lnkd.in/gwQMxvUX Explore 2026 partnership opportunities → https://lnkd.in/g3ZrFAV3 A bigger stage. A bigger audience. A sector that’s only gaining momentum. We’re excited for what’s next. #LivingSectorsSummit #LSS26

Shaping Australia’s Built Environment Through Furniture, Design, Technology, Partnership & Execution | Co-Founder & Managing Director at BOWERBIRD

This year at the #LivingSectorsSummit, we made a conscious decision to activate our brand with a clear intention: Create an environment that felt warm, calm and genuinely inviting. A place where real conversations could happen. Connection is at the heart of what we do. It’s how we design. It’s how we operate. It’s how we show up. So instead of blending into the conference floor, we invested in an experience that allowed people to slow down for a moment. To pause, sit, relax, chat, and connect with us and with each other. And throughout the summit, that’s exactly what happened. New introductions. Familiar faces. Meaningful conversations that weren’t rushed or transactional. Our brand matters to us in the way it makes people feel. We believe deeply that a space can either create connection or inhibit it, and we wanted to demonstrate what intentional, design-led brand expression looks like in practice. The best part? Watching people use the space exactly as we hoped: stepping inside, taking a breath, staying longer than they planned, and feeling comfortable enough to have real conversations. For us, this activation was about hospitality, warmth, and creating the right environment for meaningful connection. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, the time you shared bought us joy and to my team that pulled this together - truly grateful. Last week, Anouk Darling, CEO Scape Australia, and Tim Peel, CFO The Living Company, took part in the Living Sectors Summit, sharing insights on the future of living and the value of Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA). Anouk explored how the next decade will see “housing” evolve into living ecosystems; adaptable, tech-enabled communities built around comfort, community, and connection. Tim joined the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation: A Stable Investment with Social Value panel, highlighting PBSA’s role in delivering both strong returns and real social impact. Plenty of energy around what’s next for the living sector and how we can lift innovation and wellbeing together. #LivingSummit #FutureOfLiving #PBSA #BuildToRent #Scape

Proud to have attended the Living Sectors Summit, where Freecity participated as a sponsor alongside more than 600 industry leaders and 120 speakers shaping the future of Australia’s living sectors. It was a valuable two days of insights, collaboration and forward thinking, and a strong platform to continue driving better outcomes for the communities we deliver. It was also great to see Cox Architecture present our modular development in Macquarie Park, showcasing an innovative and scalable model for future living solutions.

Take a look at the event images here: https://lnkd.in/g4t2Ww9K We’ll see you back here tomorrow for Day 2. #LivingSectorsSummit #BuildToRent #StudentHousing #LandLease #RetirementLiving #AffordableHousing #LivingSectorsSummit2025 #LSS25

  • An incredible two days. The 2025 Living Sectors Summit brought together Australia's leading developers, operators, investors, policymakers and partners for conversations that genuinely moved the market forward. The depth of insight, the candour in the room, and the scale of participation all reinforced one thing: this Summit has become the national meeting place for Australia’s living sectors. A huge thank you to every speaker who brought their expertise to the stage, and to our partners whose support makes a platform like this possible. The energy, collaboration and ambition across both days set a new benchmark for the industry and for us.  🎥 We’ve pulled together a highlights reel capturing some of the moments, ideas and connections that defined the 2025 Summit. And now, we look ahead... In 2026, the Living Sectors Summit enters a new chapter as we move to ICC Sydney and significantly expand the scale of the event. A larger venue, a major new exhibition floor, an expanded two-day conference program, more networking, and a broader audience across every corner of the living ecosystem. Our aim is simple: create the biggest and most impactful platform in the region for BTR, co-living, PBSA, land lease, retirement, and community housing and an even stronger stage for partners, speakers and market leaders to shape what comes next. • The Living Sectors Summit kicked off this morning, and the first four sessions set the pace fast. Stuart Crow opened with a sharp reality check on how Australia stacks up globally. What’s working, what isn’t, and why the world’s capital doesn’t always land where we expect it to. David Woodward pulled everyone into the operator’s world, reminding us that real value is built in the day-to-day. A lot of heads were nodding. The opening panel (featuring Anouk Darling, Michele Adair, James Greener, Keith Lucas, ARA, AIA, LEED AP, Christian Grahame) looked ahead 5–10 years and painted a pretty clear picture of what’s coming for BTR, student and seniors living - shifting demographics, rising expectations, and a whole lot of change. And the last session of the morning, a panel led by SUPA: Smart Urban Properties Australia (featuring Geoff Horth, Jennie Fojtik, Henry Liddell, Sarah Boyle) got into the nuts and bolts of future-proofing assets, from digital infrastructure to smart systems to precinct-scale operations. A big start to the day and plenty more to come! #LivingSectorsSummit2025 #LSS25
