This startup is bringing affordable mental health care to India’s most overlooked patients - children. Meet lissun :), an Indian mental health startup built after founder Krishna Veer Singh faced personal struggles with mental health. He had built a strong career at Flipkart, Droom, and Uber. But when the pandemic hit, he spiralled into a mental health crisis. Turning to therapy, he realised the stigma, lack of access, and affordability issues weren’t just his problem - they were systemic. Here’s what I like about their unique solution: ▶ Access where stress is highest Instead of relying only on an app, they’ve embedded therapists directly into hospitals and coaching institutes - from dialysis centres to JEE/NEET hubs in Kota. The idea is simple: patients shouldn’t have to go searching for therapy. ▶ Child-focused care They’ve also opened physical centres for children with autism, ADHD, and developmental challenges - backed by online consultations and tools to support progress at home. ▶ Why this matters: - 75,000+ individuals supported so far - 1,00,000+ therapy sessions delivered - 7,000+ children helped As a result, their FY25 revenue tripled to ₹10 Cr (up from ₹3 Cr in FY24) Of course, big challenges remain: data security, therapist supply, and whether the economics of a hybrid physical–digital model can scale. But if they succeed, they could move beyond the label of a mental health app and make early intervention for children a normal part of offline healthcare.
