Making cloud native ubiquitous
About us
Cloud native computing uses an open source software stack to deploy applications as microservices, packaging each part into its own container, and dynamically orchestrating those containers to optimize resource utilization. The Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) hosts critical components of those software stacks including Kubernetes and Prometheus; brings together the industry’s top developers, end users, and vendors; and serves as a neutral home for collaboration. CNCF is part of The Linux Foundation.

Huge thanks to Sharone Revah Zitzman for arranging sign-language interpretation at a #KubeCon + #CloudNativeCon party. 🎉 We are proud to support Merge Forward for raising the bar for inclusion. #CNCF #CloudNative #Accessibility
What one KubeCon party organizer did for her Deaf guests and how I hope all future sponsors will follow her lead 💜 🧡 💛 With some delay, a HUGE shout-out to Sharone Revah Zitzman 🎗️🇮🇱, who organized the KubeATL party at KubeCon and did something I hope every conference organizer would do: she saw a group of Deaf guests, called an interpreter agency, and had an interpreter show up. Yes, conference parties are about fun. But what hearing folks often take for granted is that they are also an important space for professional networking. Without interpreters, Deaf signing attendees are often stripped of this important opportunity. So, a massive thank you, Sharone! The entire Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) Deaf and Hard of Hearing WG team really appreciates it. Also, thank you to Ramiro Berrelleza for sponsoring the party and letting us know it was Sharone! Sidenote: The Deaf and Hard of Hearing WG team was the heart of the party, rocking the dance floor! If you want a fun party, make sure they are there! CALL TO ACTION FOR ALL PARTY SPONSORS To all conference party sponsors, please consider doing the same. There are always local agencies that can send interpreters on short notice. Inspired by Sharon's action, we will share with the CNCF a list of recommended local agencies, so they can send it to all conference party sponsors, making it easy for you to include Deaf guests at your next KubeCon event. #KubeCon #Accessibility #MergeForward #CNCF
