Last week, our team gathered in Chattanooga, TN, to take part in Myoelectric University (MyoU). This free, multi-day course offers hands-on training in a small, collaborative setting with guidance from experienced upper limb experts. Throughout the event, clinicians get direct experience with multiple patient models at various amputation levels, practicing casting, modification, fitting, and troubleshooting in real-world scenarios. In addition to the latest Fillauer technology, the curriculum includes in-depth training with other leading brands including TASKA™ Prosthetics, Coapt | Myo Pattern Recognition and Point Designs, among others. After being diagnosed with sepsis in 2017 resulting in the amputation of her lower limbs, Petra Kormos set a goal for herself to run in Stockholm Stadium. Following intense training and determination, her dreams became a reality as she recently ran her first 100m wearing her Obsidian running blades. Next on her list is competing in the 400m Paralympic track and field event during the Swedish Athletics Championships in July 2026. We're cheering for you, Petra! #FillauerInspiredByYou
