Big news: NV5 is now an official partner of UP42! NV5 is our first LiDAR data provider. LiDAR (which stands for Light Detection and Ranging) sensors send out light pulses, collecting the returned data in the form of point clouds, where every point contains data including longitude, latitude, and elevation. NV5 data has an accuracy of 10 cm (vertical) and 30 cm (horizontal). For all the details, check out the press release or watch the video below: https://lnkd.in/eHbx99Jx

Congratulations to our client, the City of Petaluma, for bringing a 6.4 MWp floating solar project online at the City’s Ellis Creek Water Recycling Facility! This is the largest public agency floating solar array in California. NV5 is honored to have served as owner’s representative, supporting the City in delivering this innovative and impactful project. Huge thanks to White Pine Renewables, the developer and asset owner and operator, and Collins Electrical Company, Inc., the Engineering, Procurement and Construction contractor on the project.
