  • Earlier this month, Community Cabinet made its way to Mackay to spend time with people in the region and find out what matters most to them ✈️   More than 200 people attended the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre to have afternoon tea with the Premier and Ministers and talk about their priorities for the region, including safety, housing and infrastructure, health, employment and training opportunities.   The Cabinet and Parliamentary Services team, along with colleagues from the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development, with the support of DPC Communication, Digital and Design, External Affairs, Events and Policy Coordination, Policy teams and Ministerial IT worked together to deliver a very successful fourth and final Community Cabinet for 2025.   Visit the website to find out more https://lnkd.in/gsVsAeSw

  • Last month, the whole of DPC came together for an engaging, and educational All Staff Forum. 😊 As an agency that plays a pivotal role in implementing and supporting government priorities, it's always beneficial to hear about achievements and initiatives from colleagues across different areas, as well as directly from our Executive Leadership team and the Director-General on our priorities. With projects continuing full steam ahead, it was wonderful to be able to get together, reflect and recharge.

  • Boo 👻   We hope we didn’t scare you! We just wanted to say Happy Halloween from the DPC team. It’s been all treats around here as we continue to deliver some exciting initiatives—with the help of some delicious fuel, pictured below—before 2025 wraps.   Here's just some of what our teams been up to in recent weeks:   🍼 G’day Little Queenslanders events are taking centre stage across the state. 🪖 Veterans and Veterans’ Families Strategy forums are ongoing and the new Honouring our Veterans Grants Program is open now for applications.   ☔ Our updated disaster website is live, giving Queenslanders the information they need to prepare, respond, and recover. 🤝 Visting even more local communities across the state through Community Cabinet.

  • G'day (parents of) Little Queenslanders! To celebrate Queensland's new babies and their families, we're bringing four free events to communities across the state. There'll be live kids' entertainment, creative family-friendly activities, food trucks, and information stalls. Little Queenslanders (aged 0-2) can even be registered for an exclusive, personalised certificate (sounds pretty adorable to us 🐣). Festivities kick off this Sunday in Moreton Bay with our very own DPC Engagement and Partnerships team gearing up to help out. Will you see them there? Stay tuned for post-event pics and head to the G'day Little Queenslanders website to view full event details and to register 👉 https://lnkd.in/gGGMHEHR
