The One Planet network implements the 10 Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production (10YFP).
À propos
It is a global framework of action to enhance international cooperation to accelerate the shift towards SCP in both developed and developing countries. The framework supports capacity building, and facilitates access to technical and financial assistance for developing countries for this shift. The 10YFP aims at developing, replicating and scaling up SCP and resource efficiency initiatives, at national and regional levels, decoupling environmental degradation and resource use from economic growth, and thus increasing the net contribution of economic activities to poverty eradication and social development. The framework is meant to encourage innovation and cooperation among all stakeholders. Interested actors from all countries can be involved in the implementation of the 10YFP activities: government, private sector, civil society, researchers, UN agencies, financial institutions, and other major groups. 10YFP Objectives: - Accelerate the shift towards SCP, supporting regional and national policies and initiatives. - Contributing to resource efficiency and decoupling economic growth from environmental degradation and resource use, while creating decent jobs and economic opportunities and contributing to poverty eradication and shared prosperity. - Mainstream SCP into sustainable development policies, programmes and strategies, as appropriate, including into poverty reduction strategies. - Support capacity building and facilitate access to financial and technical assistance for developing countries, supporting the implementation of SCP activities at the regional, sub-regional and national levels. - Enable all stakeholders to share information and knowledge on SCP tools, initiatives and best practices, raising awareness and enhancing cooperation and development of new partnerships – including public-private partnerships.

📣 Share Your Carbon Label-Based Supply Chain Management Innovations by 30 November 2025! The International Green Purchasing Network (IGPN), together with the One Planet network - 10YFP’s Sustainable Public Procurement Programme, is gathering practice cases on carbon label–based supply chain management. Carbon labels provide clear carbon footprint information that helps identify emissions hotspots, engage suppliers, strengthen sustainability claims, and empower customers. They are an important tool for climate-aligned supply chain management. If your organisation is working with carbon labels, we invite you to share your experience in using them to build more transparent, accountable, and low-carbon supply chains. Select cases will gain global visibility on the One Planet Network platform and be featured in collaborative events to further connect practitioners, inspire learning and amplify impact. 👉 Learn more and find the submission details here. https://lnkd.in/eEsmiP7n 👉 Submit your practice case here. https://lnkd.in/eqSwDhSC

Climate action begins where decisions meet delivery in procurement. With COP30 casting a global spotlight on climate action, ICT procurement is a significant area of agency. The Circular & Fair ICT (CFIT) Pact Mini Guide: Carbon‑Conscious ICT Procurement presents a structured method for organisations to reduce carbon emissions within their ICT supply chains: It maps the procurement cycle—pre‑tender, tender and post‑tender—and shows how choices about devices, sourcing, use, and end‑of‑life can make a measurable difference. From energy-efficient devices to responsible sourcing of materials and services, the guide is a practical companion for organizations aiming to make informed, evidence-based decisions. This CFIT mini guide was developed in partnership with John Watt, participants of the Circular & Fair ICT (CFIT) Pact and our supporting organizations TCO Development and Global Electronics Council, combining expertise, guidance, and practical tools to support climate-conscious ICT procurement. Read the Mini Guide in full here https://lnkd.in/ecHpSFHn For more practical illustrations of these themes, one of our CFIT procuring participants, UNOPS provides a clear example of how organisations are embedding climate‑aware procurement and operations. In their new article “Beyond targets: How UNOPS is driving climate action”, https://lnkd.in/eP6jNkBM, Vanja Elizabeth Wylie, Senior Climate Analyst, explains how UNOPS analyses its value chain, enhances supplier engagement and flags ICT equipment among its priority procurement categories to reduce emissions. CFIT is a government-led, international, procurement-driven partnership and an action under the UN One Planet network - 10YFP SPP programme, aimed at accelerating the adoption of sustainable, circular, and fair ICT. #COP30 #Climate #ICT #IT #Procurement

We are pleased to contribute to the #COP30 Granary of Solutions! This Action Agenda platform showcases how the implementation of the Paris Agreement is taking place on the ground and around the world. Our case study "Measuring the environmental impact of ecolabel and sustainable public procurement in South Korea" highlights how ecolabels can drive climate change mitigation and generate broader environmental and social benefits through sustainable public procurement (SPP). In South Korea, SPP policies promote the purchase of products certified by the Korea Ecolabel, among other certifications. The Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (KEITI) measures the impact of these procurements by comparing ecolabelled products against conventional alternatives, providing concrete evidence of their benefits. This case study was developed under the Consumer Information Programme and the EcoAdvance project, jointly implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, UN Environment Programme, and Oeko-Institut, with financial support from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection, through the International Climate Initiative (IKI). 🔗 Explore this case study and others on the COP30 Granary of Solutions: https://lnkd.in/e9XEnC9C #ActionAgendaSolutions #Ecolabelling #SustainablePublicProcurement #COP30 Bruna Tiussu Laetitia Montero Sophia Leticia Groll Gina Torregroza Farzana Fayeza Silvana Loayza Leon
