🌟 Honoring Our Veterans and Military Families 🌟 VBCPS is deeply connected to our armed forces community, a sentiment shared in a message sent today to all VBCPS families and staff from Superintendent Dr. Donald Robertson Jr. Tomorrow is Veterans Day, a moment to honor the dedicated individuals who have served our nation. VBCPS is proud to serve over 11,300 military-connected students, and our commitment to this community is reflected in the programs and partnerships that foster belonging. ⚓ Supportive Programs: Initiatives like Anchored4Life help students build stability and friendships when navigating school moves. ⭐ Purple Star Commitment: We have a total of 66 schools that have earned the Purple Star designation, recognizing their dedication to removing barriers for military-connected students. ❤️ R.E.D. Day: We'll continue to show our support for deployed service members and their families on R.E.D. Day (Remember Everyone Deployed), by wearing red on November 21st. To all our military families and staff who have served: Thank you for the sacrifices you make and the strength you bring to VBCPS. We are committed to ensuring every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive. #VBCPSrecognizes #VeteransDay #MilitaryFamilyAppreciationMonth
