The Multicultural Emergency Management Partnership (MEMP) extends its deepest condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the two Victorian police officers whose lives were tragically lost in the line of duty. We stand in solidarity with Victoria Police and the broader emergency services community during this time of profound sorrow. The courage, dedication, and selflessness displayed by these officers are a testament to the values that underpin public service, and their sacrifice will never be forgotten. We also acknowledge the injured officer, and the work of so many Victorian police officers who continue to work to keep the Porepunkah and surrounding communities safe. Our multicultural communities across Victoria are deeply saddened by this loss. We share in the grief of Victoria Police and offer our support during this incredibly difficult time, and convey our heartfelt sympathies to all those affected. May the memory of these officers inspire continued commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all Victorians.

They're especially looking forward to the Inclusion and Diversity Leadership Group’s final panel – a highlight of the program. We also heard from MEMP Co-Chair Richard Ogetii, who led an engaging conversation with Suzan Makhoul.
