  • A while ago, our studio came together for the first-ever Visual Thinking Event — a creative exchange where designers across Arrowstreet shared how they communicate ideas through imagery. From interior moments to large-scale site renderings, presenters discussed their design process and reflected on key questions: ·      Who was the audience for this image? ·      What outcome were you trying to achieve? ·      Why was it successful? ·      What would you do differently next time? As visualization continues to evolve, Arrowstreet remains committed to telling our clients’ stories in a holistic, compelling, and technology-driven way — ensuring every image communicates with clarity and impact. #VisualThinking #DesignCommunication #Arrowstreet #Architecture #DesignProcess #Visualization

  • This past weekend marked a momentous occasion — the Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for the new Lincoln-Eliot Elementary School in Newton. Originally constructed in 1965 as Aquinas College, the building has been thoughtfully renewed, expanded, and transformed into a modern public school serving Newton’s K–5 students. Arrowstreet is proud to have partnered with the City of Newton, Massachusetts and Newton Public Schools to deliver a design that fosters learning, creativity, and play. Guided by our commitment to design excellence and sustainability, the new Lincoln-Eliot Elementary targets net-zero energy performance through a high-performance building envelope, energy-efficient HVAC systems, and rooftop solar panels.

  • Yesterday, Arrowstreet joined the City of Quincy to celebrate the groundbreaking for the new Squantum School — and to witness the unveiling of a time capsule sealed within the original building’s cornerstone since 1947. Mayor Koch led the ceremony, revealing fascinating artifacts from the past, including a 1947 edition of The Boston Herald, a list of that year’s school classes, and a letter from the superintendent at the time. The original Squantum School, built in 1919, has long been a cornerstone of the community, and the event was a powerful reminder of the history and pride embedded in Quincy’s local landmarks. With construction now underway, we look forward to seeing this next chapter come to life — a new school designed to serve generations of students and families to come.

Voting is open for the 2026 Boston Society for Architecture Board of Directors and Governance Committees! This year, we have Shonali Rajani running for Secretary and Kate Bubriski running for BSA Representative to AIA MA Board. Shonali Rajani, AIA, LEED AP, current BSA Membership Committee Chair, is dedicated to shaping a future that unites design excellence, fiscal responsibility, and community impact. With over 20 years of architectural experience, she champions inclusive, resilient, and equitable design—and fosters collaboration that transforms ideas into a shared vision. A driving force within the BSA, Shonali continues to connect members and strengthen the organization’s role as a platform for innovation, professional growth, and meaningful public engagement. Katherine Bubriski AIA, CPHC, LEED AP, Fitwel Ambassador is a dedicated BSA Representative with a strong background in sustainability and a passion for advancing high-performance, environmentally responsible design. As the current BSA Representative to the AIA Massachusetts Board, Kate has collaborated with fellow board members to advocate for initiatives that strengthen and support the profession. She helped establish the Embodied Carbon Intergovernmental Coordinating Council and supported legislation to license interior designers. Believing that advocacy must be paired with action, Kate spearheaded an ongoing Stretch Energy Code training series with allied organizations to ensure architects have the tools to succeed. Let’s support Shonali and Kate as they continue to lead with purpose and drive meaningful progress for our profession and communities. Voting closes November 4th! https://lnkd.in/e8ZJNKU
