    It was our pleasure to join Davis last week for the official groundbreaking of The Clayborn, a new 3.5-acre mixed-income residential development at 970 Fellsway in Medford, MA.   This transformative project will replace an existing industrial building with a six-story multifamily community featuring 283 apartment units, along with six townhomes. The residential mix will include studios through three-bedroom units in a podium-style building, while the townhomes will offer two- and three-bedroom layouts. Planned amenities include a fitness center, community room, and pool.   Our team is leading both the architecture and interior design for the project, with a commitment to pursuing Passive House certification to support long-term sustainability and energy performance.   We’re proud to say the development will provide much-needed mixed-income housing—25% of units will be designated as affordable—and will contribute to Medford’s Chapter 40B Safe Harbor protections.   We are excited to help shape the next chapter for this Medford community.     Completed earlier this summer, we’re excited to share the final interior photography for The Beck in Haverhill, MA. CUBE 3 provided both architecture and interiors for this 290-unit, mixed-use community, and our interiors team worked with The Procopio Companies to create spaces that reflect the project’s connection to the waterfront, its industrial history, and its community-oriented mission. Across the amenities—from the fitness center and sports lounge to the clubroom, co-working spaces, and lobby—materials, textures, and lighting were selected to create warm, welcoming environments that support how residents live, gather, and connect. The residential units and corridors continue this approach with a clean, modern palette that highlights natural light, crafted details, and durability for everyday living. These interiors complement the project’s broader vision, which includes 6,000 s/f of retail and restaurant space, outdoor amenities, and access to the scenic boardwalk, playground, splash pad, dog park, and connections to the Bradford Rail Trail. Together, the interiors and site amenities offer a cohesive living experience that celebrates the surroundings and enhances the resident community.     The new photos we just received of The Beck in Haverhill, MA are simply spectacular. Our team worked diligently alongside The Procopio Companies on both architecture and interiors for The Beck,, transforming what was once a vacant and overgrown former factory site at the Bradford Commuter Rail station into a vibrant community-oriented mixed-use development. This 290-unit property features 6,000 s/f of retail and restaurant space and an incredible lineup of amenities including a fitness center, sports lounge, and outdoor spaces with a pool, fire pit, and barbecue area. Residents will also enjoy access to a scenic boardwalk, playground, splash pad, dog park, and bike-friendly connections to commuter routes and the Bradford Rail Trail. The project also includes 3.2 acres of public parks and riverwalk, public amphitheater and significant offsite roadway and infrastructure improvements. In addition, playgrounds and active trails increase walkability and recreational uses for residents and community members alike and allow the community to enjoy the tranquility and spectacular vistas of the Merrimack River.     Last month, members of our team—led by Thomas Lassy, and Nathan Klein—visited our Merrimack College project site in North Andover. It was a great opportunity for junior staff and new employees to see the project firsthand and gain insight into a complex, large-scale development currently under construction. Our team has been leading both the architecture and interior design for this new student housing community, which will include two buildings on the corner of Elm Street and Turnpike Street, adjacent to the Collegiate Church of Christ the Teacher. Together, they’ll provide 540 dorm- and suite-style beds, plus 30,000 square feet of new academic space, student lounges, study areas, and a fitness center. As always, we’re pleased to be collaborating with Greystar on this exciting project.
