“I am a Gooreng Gooreng and Punthamara woman with a background in Federal Government, specializing in website content, social media, user-centered design, and indigenous outreach. Joining DCS is a chance to engage directly with the community and make meaningful connections, which I find incredibly rewarding as an Aboriginal woman.”

Make time for what counts
We know that maintaining a positive work/life balance is an important part of staying engaged and productive at work. Whether you want to make more time for family and friends or to pursue further study, we want to help you make it happen. DCS offers flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.
Dedicated Wellbeing Hub
We know that when our people feel well, they work well. That's why our Department is pleased to have launched a new Wellbeing Hub to provide employees with a dedicated space for information, resources and tips to help them look after their mental health and wellbeing. The Hub is a result of our people’s feedback and includes a new Mental Health First Aiders resource - volunteer employees who are available to support with a confidential chat for anyone who feels they need it.
