  • Randwick City's Hall of Sporting Champions just gained another Champ! 🏆 From La Perouse to the world stage, Lloyd Walker’s journey is one of talent, resilience and inspiration. A proud Aboriginal man, Lloyd starred at Matraville High, dominated with Randwick (250+ games, 10 premierships) and earned 8 Test caps with the Wallabies. As one of the few Indigenous players of his time, he broke barriers and inspired generations. After retiring, he coached at the highest level and continues to mentor young Indigenous athletes, leaving a legacy far beyond the field. A true pioneer. A role model. A rugby legend. Congratulations Lloyd 👏

  • ⚽ A big congratulations to the Randwick Council football team who represented us with pride on the weekend at the Johnny Warren and Les Murray Memorial Cup hosted by Bayside Council (NSW). The team was undefeated in the group stage winning four games and drawing one and was the only team to not have a single goal scored against them in the group stage. They faced a spirited Blacktown City Council side in the quarters who won a tough 1-0 battle. Congrats to the cup runner up Fairfield City Council and winner City of Canada Bay! The whole event was fantastic with some healthy council rivalry. Well done to the Randwick team Mark Vrabac, Sean Finlay, Thomas Awford, Dane Hamilton, Josh Sutton, Nicholas Musico, Charlotte Mayeux, Ludo Carla, George Pana, Jack Nisbet, Edel Dickson and Joshua Hay.

  • Not all heroes wear capes, some of them are right here on our beaches 🩵⛱️ On Saturday, Lifeguards Luke and Max at Coogee Beach were alerted to an unconscious man on the sand and were by his side in moments. While administering oxygen, they found no detectable pulse and initiated CPR. Luke and Max continued these lifesaving methods, including delivering multiple defibrillator shocks, until the man was revived and paramedics arrived to transport him to hospital. We're wishing this man his best in his recovery, and hope to see him back on the beach soon. Thank you to our Lifeguards, and the Lifesavers who worked with them, for their extreme bravery.
